Derp. He just said "anime", and I instantly ruled out "video games".

I still think FMA Dante could be a neat matchup for InuYasha.

That is the official theme of the Death Battle. I personally love it...it combines sounds of Superman and Dragonball perfectly. :D

Death Battlesim hoping for- Hulk vs Asura, Ryu Hayabusa vs Joe Musashi...or Strider Hiryu, and Yu Narukami vs Shu.
To show my appreciation, I'll only beat them half to death.

Bigger than Goku vs Superman? Not many matches like that...Jesus vs Buddha? Mickey Mouse vs Bugs Bunny? Hitler vs Stalin?...Kimba the White Lion vs Simba? I'd want to see The Cobbler vs Aladdin (The Thief and the Cobbler inspired Disney to do Aladdin).

Pretty sure, he's just about the single nicest, compassionate, self-sacrificing hero there is. The only competition would be Billy Batson as Captain Marvel, mainly due to him being a small child who can turn into a hero with the power of gods (They call him the Big Cheese for a reason). Though, from what I've seen, not even Billy's all that good anymore...

Of course, there's been dickish versions of Supes in the past:

But the modern era was a lot more friendly to Superman for the most part.

Is Superman really "completely pure of heart" like on the level of a guy like Goku or Luffy?

Even Spider-man would probably die from that one Devil attack. "Nice guy with a few flaws, negative feelings" is still enough to kill someone.

Comic artists were snarky back then, and wanted to have fun? There's a whole website full of this stuff.

I would argue he is Pure of Heart. Not youthful ignorance pure, but a good man who always stands against evil, while also obeying the law closely, and helping those in need. Not an easy series of events to keep all together, but he's the prototypical Superhero for a reason.

At least, that's a common approach. Not always used, but the general one. He may sometimes get mad, but he won't attack you over it, he doesn't like fighting senseless fights. In that way, I would argue he's more pure than either Goku or Luffy, and they only get away with it on the clause of child-like ignorance on the right and wrong of some circumstances. Goku will kill if he feels the cause demands it. Superman will sooner die trying to stop someone non-lethally than kill them (but of course, for the sake of the Death Battle, that had to be ignored).

Worth noting that the end of Pre-Crisis Superman's career involved him accidentally killing someone (who happened to be a demonic imp) and being so racked with guilt over it that he willingly stripped his own powers, permanently.

I notice some people on Youtube has been blocking comments on their rants on Goku vs. Superman. I think Theewall200 block my comment on his video after posting my thoughts on it.

Yeah people get a little too boohoo butthurt on Youtube. There was this one guy named Myopinion333 who blocked me because I was trying to convince him that comic books have adult themes since he thought they were for children. He was also a little pissed off when I told him that Superman would beat Goku.

That.... sounds kind of lame. He got all weepy over a little demon from hell?

It was Mr. Mxyzptlk, actually. But because he broke his vow to never kill, he depowered himself.
Mister Mxyzptlk continued to be a thorn in Superman's side for many years. Alan Moore offered a radically different interpretation of the character in Superman: Whatever Happened to the Man of Tomorrow?—a possible end of the adventures of the Earth-One Superman. Mr. Mxyzptlk (appearing in darker colors, and looking more sinister than in the past) explains that the big problem with immortality is finding ways to spend the time. He spent his first 2,000 years without moving or breathing, the next 2,000 years doing only good deeds, and the following 2,000 years being the mischievous character that he is normally portrayed as. He has now decided to try being evil, and is responsible for all of the nightmarish events in the story. Before attacking Superman, he remarks, "Did you honestly believe a fifth-dimensional sorcerer would resemble a funny little man in a derby hat?" His true form is described by Lois Lane as having "height, width, depth, and a couple of other things." He is killed when Superman sends him to the Phantom Zone at the same time that Mr. Mxyzptlk begins an escape to the Fifth dimension, tearing him in two. Remorse over the killing prompts Superman to drain himself of his powers with gold kryptonite.

Ah.

Now Dabura- there's someone that can **** Superman up! Being "pure of heart" won't save him from being turned to stone.... will it?

(expects Superman to have another power that can reverse that effect)

Is Dabura's stone spit magical? If it is then it would probably work but if it isn't then who knows. But either way thats a toss up kind of thing because it's a slow attack and Superman would drop Dabura really fast if he was going all out.
