As for my old item, I used to have several Japanese DBZ cards. Also I had my first ever Dragon Ball Z manga in magazine form (I think it was back in 2000). Never had a rare item though.

Holy cow! That's quite a collection. You'd be sold for a fortune!

Speaking of the Viz manga, whenabouts was it that they finally stopped saying he lived in Tokyo? I seem to remember it continuing at least until the beginning of the US Shonen Jump; I got on their case about it a couple of times, but eventually gave up. Toriyama actively hates even the idea of living in a big city, let alone the big city as far as Japan is concerned.

Here's my stuff.
A folder full of trading cards, two boxes of some Gohan and Tenshinan toys (the toys got lost, I only had the boxes tucked away for some reason, lol), a coloring book, a sticker book, and Goku & Krillin Burger King toys.

Some cards inside the folder. Some are in spanish, most in english.

Oooh, shiny cards!

Hatchiyack!

Inside the drawing book.

I've always been a shitty artist. I only drew Goku and left the book alone, lol.

Inside the sticker book. I didn't really stick them to anything, just left them alone.

The Krillin Burger King toy from like almost 13 years ago; it says ©2000. The light still turns on!

Well, that's about all I could find in my closet and garage.

I had the Burger King toy of Gohan. I think it was 1999 when DBZ started to grow more popular at the time and that's when I used to hated the show.

These are great! Glad this thread was made. Definitely brings back memories. I used to have Tenshinhan and Vegeta model kits as well.
I wonder if there's still old DBZ items selling on Amazon...
Edit: Wow, they are still selling model kits for $30!

Here are some of the packages the cards came with
Also some action figures! I got interested in customizing figures after seeing some a website dedicated to custom DBZ figures *cant remember the name now*

Maybe 2003 March (when Viz switched from their Viz Graphic Novels line to their Shonen Jump Graphic Novels line)? I own the first ten volumes in Viz Graphic Novels edition, then volumes 11 through 16 in Shonen Jump Graphic Novels edition, so there's a bit of a gap... They're all first printing by the way. But anyways, volume 11 has "Tokyo" removed from the author description.SaiyaJedi wrote:Speaking of the Viz manga, whenabouts was it that they finally stopped saying he lived in Tokyo? Re: Time Capsule for DB fans (Post your old/rare items etc)
The oldest DBZ merch I had was those DBZ toys, where Ginyu and Vegeta were shooting these beams and you could press a button or something and it would launch a ball (beam). I had 2 Goku's, both with a removable shirt and his SSJ form had removable rubber hair However, I gave all those away

This is the Vegeta I had all those years ago. And that Goku and even Freeza (I had lost his tail) looks like the one I had.

My favourite art style (and animation) outside Toriyama who worked on Dragon Ball: Katsuyoshi Nakatsuru, Masaki Satō, Minoru Maeda, Takeo Ide, Hisashi Eguchi, Katsumi Aoshima, Tomekichi Takeuchi, Masahiro Shimanuki, Kazuya Hisada
