Live-Action Yamucha?

Post by Jerseymilk » Fri Mar 10, 2006 1:46 pm

I don't think this pic has ever been posted before if memory serves me correctly. When I first spotted it online 2 days ago, it was a first for me seeing it at any rate. I'm curious now as to where it's from. It doesn't look like a photo of someone cosplaying but from something on TV. Just thought I would post it here figuring someone on these boards is bound to know where it's from.

I think it's just a really good cosplay. Before I clicked your link, I was thinking, "Old Chinese Movie, maybe?" But the toy Puar kinda negated that. I think it's just a really good costume, an outdoors setting, and pic quality that happens to resemble a screencap.

For a moment I did think it's the movie Yamcha, but it's not the movie one has the White costume from the early DB animated movies. That and in that film Pu'ar was a Parrot :D
Great cosplay though ^^

:P That's a great Yamcha. :)

Puar's very good too, though I think the hair's a bit lacking...
I really, really need to get back into the habit of posting.

I'm with you. I've seen my share of crappy DB cosplays, but this one takes the cake for sure. Nothing on this aside from the colours of the shirt even resemble Yamcha to me. And the plushie is even lacking.

No, it doesn't. When it comes to crappy DB cosplay, that doesn't even come close....

Sometimes hair can be the biggest obstacle for cosplayers. I know with my Kenshin wig, I tried to make it as similar as I could, but it wasn't quite the same, though everyone could tell from it and the clothes that I was Kenshin.

I find the Piccolo cosplayer's cape reminds me of that Carol Burnet(sp?) sketch "Went with the wind." :P

Sorry to bring this up again but...

Err... I don't think that's just cosplay. If that was the case there's mass cosplay-frenzy going on right now in Korea (I believe)?

http://blog.livedoor.jp/textsite/archives/50172112.html

I think that's a fan made movie - which in my opinion looks way better than the other Dragon Ball movie out there... Look at Chi-chi!
