Whoa we dont kno that for sure, we dont how strong future trunks got after cell saga. So i dont think its safe to say that GT trunks is stronger. I'm saying that GT Trunks is stronger than Future Trunks from the last time we saw him. GT probably has SS Trunks strong enough to defeat Pure Boo. Because GT.

I think GT/main timeline Trunks did not train much after the Buu Saga. But Main Trunks Buu Saga > Future Trunks Cell Saga.

Sorry we still dont kno if GT trunks is strong enough to defeat pure buu, i mean hes strong but, both GT and Future Trunks are SSJ level which is the same. It shouldnt prevent them from fusing with the potara earings.. I don't know why you think GT Trunks can be stronger than his future self. He got beat up by Android 17 for crying out loud.

#17 defeated base Trunks.
