Dragon Ball, the Eternal Journey Yu-Gi-Oh! Crossover Gallery

Post by hulkty » Thu Feb 07, 2013 11:49 pm

Hey everyone! This is a on-going gallery of Yu-Gi-Oh! cards created by me over the course of close to 5 years now. I've edited them continuously over the years to mix and match perfectly with the official Yu-Gi-Oh! card game. You may be surprised at first by the ATK/DEF points, but please read the description when you get there first. If you still don't understand, then I'll try to explain here. If you aren't familiar with Yu-Gi-Oh itself, then just enjoy the artwork. All pictures on the cards come from official screenshots and fan art straight from DeviantArt. I do my best to look through and choose the best pictures possible. The cards are all organized neatly for you to easily see and come with lores to read just encase. If you need any help or have any questions, please let me know.
I can't wait to see and hear all your opinions, tips, ideas, requests, etc. I'll post here when I update there as well. So, without further ado, I give you the ultimate crossover game, Dragon Ball, the Eternal Journey.
Here we go! : http://forum.yugiohcardmaker.net/topic/ ... -2713-178/

Sounds good. I'll try to fine some good quality pictures that fit well with the yugioh card frame and get a few of these going soon. I'll put your name on the request list. Thank you.

The AF cards are terrible, the what-ifs (Super Saiyan Krillin? Really?) aren't much better.

You have waaaaay too many duplicate characters and "card's name is also". You are aware that you can only have 3 copies of a card name in your deck, right?

You went severely out of control with card effects. I mean, come on, man. Everything Special Summons like three other cards, sometimes all at once ALONG WITH blowing up cards on the field. Yet at the same time, I shudder to think of how badly the deck would actually play with so many situational cards. You somehow managed to make your monsters massively overpowered (Attack five times!) and yet completely unplayable. Good job?

Backfire and Black Mirror Force are real cards, while "Frightening Surprise" is illegal - when your LP hits 0, the game is over and you can't activate traps.

Your traps are all INSANELY overpowered, since you made so many Counter Traps.

All card's have a reason. Sorry if you thought the art was bad.
No way. All the cards have been completely balanced in levels of official Yugioh play. Didn't you notice the Forbidden and Limited Lists?
There's a reason that some of these cards have the same effects as other official Yugioh cards, you can read about it in the opening description.
Nah. Check my Forbidden and Limited lists first, then look at them again, and think Yugioh before DBZ.

Been a long time, but I finally have all the cards fixed and updated! Here's an example of the new template with perfect O.C.G.

Rogue, not rouge. Also needs a "Special Summoned (from the hand)" qualifier, unless you intend to be able to Special him from the hand, deck, graveyard and banished zone.

Backfire and Frightening Surprise are still illegal.

I'll fix the typo.
The (from the hand) part isn't necessary.
Backfire is limited.
Frightening Surprise is banned, yes.

No, not like that. They're illegal to the game itself. There's already a card called Backfire, and Frightening Surprise simply cannot work. The game is over when you run out of life, you can't use traps even if they say you can because the game has ended.

This game has the same rulings as Yu-Gi-Oh!, but is still technically a different game. There are cards in my game that have very similar effects to actual yugioh cards. If it bothers you that much, then what name would you recommend?
The are a few anime cards that can be activated the moment you would normally lose a duel. This card is similar. The card effect itself is enough to see that. Don't know how else to explain it. If it bothers you, just pretend it's not there. ...It's a forbidden card anyway. :/

Again, about the "(from the hand)" thing...I rechecked the most current O.C.G. and it seems like it's still back and forth for some cards. BLS-EotB says it, but others don't still. I honestly don't think it really matters, but I may go back and change some cards that way.

All O.C.G. has been changed again. Now it's easier to understand when and how a monster can be Special Summoned.

Since it's specific to the Saiyan archetype, I'd call it "Saiyan Counter" or something. Probably with that picture of Vegeta firing into Janemba's teleport move.

Changed to "Backfired". One letter change, but better than nothing... :/
