Possibly planet Namek; I never really got active before joining up at Mike's DBZ forum, though.Hellspawn28 wrote:What was the first Dragon Ball web forum do you remember joining? I think mine was the Budokai forum on Gamefaqs in 2002. I also remember lurking on Planet Namek when it had it's own forum. Kanzenshuu is the only DB forum I'm active in now since the other old DBZ sites died out over the years. Forums like MFG and Dranet are long gone.

Dragonball Z Circuit Forums!
Yes, back in the day I used to frequent a website called Gojiita's Domain, who became affiliates with DBZ Circuit and began sharing their forum.

I just stumbled across this, and I gotta say, I didn't expect Kunzait to ever make a post again. Shame he ain't here to stay, but oh well, that's just the works sometimes.Kunzait_83 wrote:So yeah don't worry guy: in any given fandom there's ALWAYS someone older and crustier than you. In terms of this topic, this is the first dedicated Dragon Ball forum I've ever joined (and my only one). I posted on FUNimation's forums a year before joining here, but I don't really consider that the same thing, since it's just one section. If you count sections of a forum, then I couldn't tell you what site the first Dragon Ball discussion I've ever had was (though it was maybe the old Nintendo Nsider forum, before they shut down).
This thread's been very nostalgic though. I remember some site mentioned, like Gojiita's domain I believe, and I think some place called Dragon Ball Arena, and I've been reminiscing on the old days. I also remember visiting countless Geocities sites when some kids at school started printing out random images from Geocities, and that introduced me to the early 2000's fad of creating web pages. I still visit the Oocities and Reocities archives from time to time out of nostalgia.

Same, but I love this forum. In the real world, I call it The Forum, just 'cause.Saiga wrote:It was this one.I'm not much of a forum guy, actually.

I remember Dragon Ball Arena. I think it was 2004 - 2005 when the site was up and I remember I was a member of the forums. I remember one guy tried to remake the first Legacy of Goku game with game play similar to LOG2 and Buu's Furry and had Broli as a secret boss. I found it funny that end up happening in Attack of the Saiyans
. I wonder if he end up working for Monolith Soft (I wish I remember his name).

Re: Your First Dragon Ball Message Board
This is my first DB forum!
Before then, waaaaayyyy back in the day, I was a member of email groups or "mailing lists" where big DB/Z/GT discussions were had, I don't recall now what it was called when I first joined, DBML or DBZML or something, there were 3 or more iterations (alas, most of my email from back then is gone, I don't really use that old address for anything anymore except as a spam receptacle). In fact, these mailing lists were one of the reasons why I first got an email account to begin with! I remember shocking my friends that I not only had email, but I got 100+ messages a day (more whenever someone would inevitably bring up Superman
) I was pretty active on those email lists, engaged in fansub-trading, and I guess I came the closest I've ever gotten to writing fan-fiction, writing big, humorous messages about Captain Chicken (or humorous to me as a middle-schooler at least, maybe it's best that's been wiped clean from history). I often wonder if any of my email buddies from back then are on this board. I used my real name at the time... since then I've wisely decided to conceal my identity with an alias
After the last DBML fizzled out I didn't really take part in anime fandom, but in the last few years I would lurk here and became a fan of the podcast, so I decided to stick my neck out and say "hi!" now and then!
EDIT: HEYO! I did a little digging around on Google and -- did you guys know the Anime Web Turnpike still lives?? I mean, it's frozen in the late 90's, but it's still there!

Probably Planet Namek for me, although I may have popped into some AOL chat rooms from time to time. I wasn't very familiar with newsgroups, so I didn't post there.

One series, one message board. I'm only loyal to this one with Dragon Ball. Second one is for Saint Seiya, Saint Seiya Fan..... And that's it.

Funimation board late 2005. If it wasn't for there, I wouldn't have found out about this place.
The series doesn't start with the arrival of Raditz. Stop being lazy and watch Dragonball.

Yes, that was my first and then I went here in 2005 after scouting the site for few years.
Damn, how could I forget that one! It was my source for DB related information No. 1 before Kanzentai and now Kanzenshuu.

This one.
I never actually tried to find any community until the new Episode of Bardock came out.

Re: Your First Dragon Ball Message Board
Probably some from the Orkut forum (yes, I am Brazilian), but I can't remember which ''communities'' specifically (probably the most popular ones). That was almost right after I got interested in Dragon Ball again in 2007, after (this is what I guess) more than half an decade of an ''hiatus'' from the series. It has been years since I don't post anything there, though. Now I only use Kanzenshuu and nothing else to talk about DB-related matters.

I originally joined Planet Namek around 2000, but posted heavily on Unrivaled Dragonball from 2002-2007 as well as Shadows of Namek and Neonamek.

I don't even know. I feel like it might have been the DBZonPS2 forums, even that seems late though. I've been using forums since about 2003, but I don't think I really joined a DBZ-specific one until that.
I was Thanos before the MCU existed!

Polish Dragon Ball Z M.U.G.E.N forum that had a Dragon Ball Section. The good, old days
Re: Your First Dragon Ball Message Board
The first DBZ forum I ever posted on was the one on IMDB. Most of the people there were jerks. I'm not sure if anyone still posts there or not.
This is the episode of when Gokuh enrages himself after Freezer talk shit about Kuririn
