"Seems like Namco Bandai doesn't seem to know which direction to take the DBZ franchise to and who to let develop the games."
What about letting CyberConnect2 deal with it.
Narutimate Ninja Storm 3 has awsome graphics, awsome ultimates, totally diferent fighting style characters, counting over 80 characters by now, with great camera.
Really, would sell as much as a Naruto game.

Re: Dragon Ball Games (NB) pondering Tenkaichi 4 / R. Blast
I'd be on board with them tackling the series as long as it's not just Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm with a DBZ skin. They'd have to tweak a few things, specifically use more of the face buttons for combos, but I think they'd be able to throw together a solid if not refreshing game.
...Wait what are you doing? Are you still reading this? I finished what I had to say, why don't you move on to the next post?

As long as it doesn't bring down the quality of the Naruto games. Go ahead. I doubt they want to put that much on their plate at this point.
Re: Dragon Ball Games (NB) pondering Tenkaichi 4 / R. Blast
I'm with this to a point. If you're going to express your opinion to a company like that, you should at least be respectful/professional when you do it. Their response wasn't "bad". But they were right. Straight up insulting them and their product doesn't get anything done, or validate your opinion any more. If you want them to take you seriously, you should give them feedback they can use.mysticboy wrote:Nah... dbboxkaifan has the right to express his opinion, but the Namdai rep should've just said "lol ok".DarkPrince_92 wrote:Dude needs to man up. FaceBook isn't exactly to write bible pages, and rarely does Namco Bandai listen to their audience.

CyberConnect2 is not that great either.. The Naruto games look nice but the gameplay is shallow as hell, around BT1 or RB1 level of gameplay. They also RUINED Asura's Wrath gameplay wise.. it played exactly like the Naruto games. If they take a crack at DBZ games then they better come up with a new control scheme.
It's not too late. One day, it will be.

Re: Dragon Ball Games (NB) pondering Tenkaichi 4 / R. Blast
Well, these hatefull retards pretty much annoyed lot of the emploeyees. If you remember the Bandai Europe PR manager Tony Shoupinou, he stopped to talk with me, as soon as I mentioned Ultimate Tenkaichi. The responses he got were pretty bad, because every day, he got like 5 messages on his FB profile with: ''UT and other fighters are shit, I will do this, this and this'' and when he mentioned something new in progress, there was again bunch of people callin' it pretty bad names and that the whole Bandai company isn't worth anything.....
Well, Dragon Ball fans or rather, the retarded portion of them, really did it's job.
I never saw so much of negative passion towards other franchises on European Bandai profiles....
------
So I'm not really wondering if they won't make anything as it seems like the Dragon Ball fandom is rather spoilt one, when there isn't much hate from other series.
And lot of people are behaving immature and like dickheads.

To be fair, Ultimate Tenkaichi is really bad. It has potential, yes, but overall there is just nothing and I mean nothing going for it. The gameplay is luck based and repetitive, the character roster is small and is missing important characters that hurt other modes, The story would have been well constructed if they had used more anime cut-scenes and again gave us important characters like Goten, Kid Trunks, Buutenks, SSJ2 Vegeta, SSJ4 Goku, SSJ4 Vegeta, etc, the character creator is just awful, Guitar Hero 4 had better customization options and thats just sad, Hero mode was lazily put together and is just void of entertainment.

Take Sega for example, Sonic the Hedgehog 2006 was a completely broken game which didn't help their reputation, nor did Sonic Unleashed (because of the Werehog) BUT then Sega's Sonic Team finally came to realise what the audience (fans) wanted and so they worked hard on making it. Consistent fun, fast, 2D + 3D platform Sonic games.MCDaveG wrote:*comment*
Sonic Generations and Sonic Colours are two of the best Sonic games ever produced and Sega sure as hell is proud of it.
So if Namco Bandai wanted to accomplish the same target, they could. Namco Bandai has plenty of their own "Sonic 06" games themselves, so it's been sometime since they could start to do quality DBZ games.
Although, Sonic 4 isn't very good at least on 360/PS3 but that's Dimps fault, for some reason the iOS version is miles better (Sonic in the iOS version is actually fast).

Sonic 4 isn't that bad I enjoyed it but yes Namco Bandai really needs to get some fan feedback on what would make the games better. If DBZ games die because of Namco Bandai I will never forgive them.dbboxkaifan wrote:Take Sega for example, Sonic the Hedgehog 2006 was a completely broken game which didn't help their reputation, nor did Sonic Unleashed (because of the Werehog) BUT then Sega's Sonic Team finally came to realise what the audience (fans) wanted and so they worked hard on making it. I'm not being an advocate for Bandai in terms of their objective flaws, I'm only saying, that when we dissaprove something, there's no need to show it like this.
It's very immature and hickish. Look at Treevax, he said: ''Okay, your game wasn't that good, but I believe that you can do better and I have this set of ideas''.
He actually acomplished something, but those rude shouters acomplished complete shit. They resulted in at least European branch of Bandai now doesn't take DB fans seriously,
but like some disillusioned sect of freaks.

I agree people should be constructive but at the same time they have brought this upon themselves. It's the year 2013 and they can't make a good DBZ game to save their lives. DBZ Kinect almost made me rage. It's sad that an early 2000s game, Budokai 3, beats the shit out of every newer release =/.MCDaveG wrote:I'm not being an advocate for Bandai in terms of their objective flaws, I'm only saying, that when we dissaprove something, there's no need to show it like this.

Having 9000 characters and stylised graphics (as if it never existed) is going to make the game any better than the previous Raging Blast titles. The gameplay is probably more or less the same too.MCDaveG wrote:Look at Treevax, he said: ''Okay, your game wasn't that good, but I believe that you can do better and I have this set of ideas''.
Have you played Dragon Ball Z For Kinect?TheMightyOzaru wrote:DBZ Kinect almost made me rage.
Most people who dislike it base their angriness on what others have said about it than trying the game itself themselves. IMO, Spike did a great job (I know I hate on Spike too much, except this time) with Dragon Ball Z Ultimate Tenkaichi and For Kinect (although fun, it's missing a lot of content to justify its high price) but overall, the majority of the fans hated both.
By the way, the Dragon Ball fanbase is by far worse than the Sonic fanbase, while they have superb games now (yet they complain every now and then), the DB community isn't content because of the recent DBZ NB games.

Which is why I don't get why people put so much stock in Treevax. Yes he has some good ideas and gets to talk to devs but what has that translated into for us? UT and Kinect and the main sailing point, the character creation was a top requested feature going back to the Budokai days. The Rb series plateaued in RB2 and now everyone is looking at the Dimps made DB Heroes and the slow as heck to release DBO for hope.

Re: Dragon Ball Games (NB) pondering Tenkaichi 4 / R. Blast
Do I have to play it to know it's bad? I already question motion controls as is but they just went too far. As if it wasn't bad enough, I've seen the game be very unresponsive. It's also just a first person UT and I already hated UT. The dragon ball fan base has every right to be pissed off. Look at all the Naruto games, they are really good and I don't even like Naruto =/. It's quite upsetting to see how near flawless Naruto games are and then look at a dragon ball game which has little to no time invested into it. it's really just a huge slap in the face to us DB fans. Yes I will admit a large majority of the fanbse are just bitching to bitch and really they have no idea what they want but honestly there are obvious things that can and should be addressed in these new games. It's obvious that raging blast suffered a low roster, shallow fighting engine and camera problems. Raging Blast 2 suffered from no story, plasticy models and a fairly broken fighting system. Ultimate Tenkaichi suffered in every category except presentation and beautiful graphics. DBZ Kinect had the same problem except it suffered worse controls and an even smaller roster. The newer DBZ games are just bad, save the raging blast titles but even then they lacked things they shouldn't lack. DB fans have every right to be pissed.dbboxkaifan wrote:Having 9000 characters and stylised graphics (as if it never existed) is going to make the game any better than the previous Raging Blast titles. Re: Dragon Ball Games (NB) pondering Tenkaichi 4 / R. Blast
I don't see how a character list such as Ultimate Tenkaichi can be of any issue considering no one will ever use all characters, plus, it's a game with custom made figures which the players will prefer to use instead of the official.
Having a ton of characters in a game won't automatically make it good. Just like pretty graphics don't make a good game neither.

Re: Dragon Ball Games (NB) pondering Tenkaichi 4 / R. Blast
Ultimate Crapfest should have been the one game where they could have had EVERY character, similar to Heroes, because everyone uses the exact same pre-rendered animations for everything.dbboxkaifan wrote:I don't see how a character list such as Ultimate Tenkaichi can be of any issue considering no one will ever use all characters, plus, it's a game with custom made figures which the players will prefer to use instead of the official.
Also, you can add me to the list of people who would have never touched the Character Creator outside the single play through of Hero Mode, that way I could say I beat the whole game.
