First off, please type correctly. You agreed to do so.

Second, the "DVD Guide" is your friend.

Man, the Goku on the back of the box is hideous! Someone needs to brush up on Adobe Illustrator!

It's a damn shame it's encoded in PAL... At least it's good to know FUNi is trying to work a deal with Kidmark!

I know one thing's for sure. The guy selling the DVD's a real jerkoff for selling it at $65. o_O You're better off buying the damn thing off of someone who lives in Australia. $65 for a 2 DVD set of FUNi's dub uncut with Japanese audio and subs isn't worth it.

So that DVD set is the one that can't be released in the USA yet?

I usually only watch the dubs on DVDs when I just want to play the DVD for background noise.

$55 US? The Dragon Ball sets usually retail for around $30-$40 AUD here. In fact, Madman have this particular one listed in their catalogue at $29.95.

Yeah -- MadMan is pretty awesome, if only for that one DVD.

Extortion, eh? I dunno -- I usually go to eBay for lower prices, but meh.

madman are anything but awesome and this is simply released because of technicality. They've done a lot of things that are by far and beyond unacceptable.

A lot of us (myself included) found Dragon Ball with the ocean dub of either the Pilaf, or Vegeta eras. Even though the original is indeed awesome, it doesn't have the same level of nostolgia as the ocean cast has for us. Don't be so quick to judge. Sentimental value means a lot to most people.

Not sure what you mean -- 'safe' transaction, fast shipping, and excellent product -- what more could you ask for?

Well said -- the Japanese version may be superior, but I'm pretty sure that most of us 'veterans' started out as dubbies.

Just thinking about those Saturday (or was it Sunday?) mornings gave me a good laugh, haha.

Atleast two volumes of DBZ were not fixed of obvious Madman-related errors until roughly two years later. The subtitles on Coolers Revenge are dodgy. vol 2.1-4.5 (ginyu thru-saiyaman) are English only with no possibility of a re-release. That's only counting Dragonball Z so far. They can do some things right, but there are other things which are pretty adbysmal, but since it's not nessecerally Dragonball related, I shouldnt mention it here (unless people want to know?).

I am mixed, myself. For example, I like the voices equally for both Goku and Piccolo. I like FUNimation's version of Krillin and Bulma better. Those are just examples.

But when it came to characters like Turtle, Ox King, and the villains from Dead Zone... yeah, I prefer the VAs that work for Ocean.

Also, sice it seems that MadMan (a company that also produces the Studio ghibli movies there) got the stuff from FUNimation, so I am assuming that FUNimation has gotten the rights for the episodes. That, or they were able to produce the DVD episodes there. Either way, I am hoping we will see the "Emperor Pilaf Saga" here.
