It seems all of the Ocean-related activity has driven up prices of the original boxes on Amazon a bit. I was hovering around getting the Namek boxset for quite a while now, and seeing it jump to over 100 when usually they go for about 30 scared me quite a bit (Saiyan seems to be a tad lower). Fortunately I managed to find a Namek one for around 35 on eBay, and I saw at least one Saiyan set for about that much as well. Although I do wonder if these prices are just temporary hype fluctuated or not.

I think I'll be buying assorted Dragon Ball things for the rest of my life.

What makes you think that this won't hit in stores? Walmart has gotten every Funimation release as far as Dragonball goes.
I think because it would create confusion to the casual DBZ fan. But who knows. :)

I also wonder if FUNimation is doing Dragon Ball Kai ocean, or maybe FUNi backed Saban (or viseversa)?

Not EVERYTHING. I can't vouch for EVERY Walmart, but I'm pretty sure I never saw the Dragon Boxes in stores or online. And I was REALLY hoping they'd have those in stores (I get why they didn't though). My local stores have missed many other products too, but that could just be my stores.

I'm sure there could have been a release here or there that they didn't carry in the stores, but I've seen Dragon-boxes at Walmart before even though I ordered mine from their site. and I've seen all the Bricks there, level sets, Kai, the movies for Z and the original. I also remember when ultimate uncut and when Dragonball Z on VHS tapes were there :P I'm sure if Funimation is going to try to go for the ''nostalgic'' crowd it will be there too. :)
Also there's a Walmart that's like 40 minutes from my house that sucks! and there's one that's about an hour away and it's amazing! haha yeah I live in the boonies.

It's been over a week and it's still not on Amazon, this could be the wholesalers teasing some of us :)
Next to get; Leged of Saiyan figures and Freeza's force

If anyone sees
Any of the Legend of Saiyan line going cheapish
Or any other Banpresto DBZ figure :)

If anyone has a cooler steelbook dvd that wants to sell it (prefer new but used is fine) when/if the dragon box movies comes out contact me :)

You have!?!?!?!? Crazy jealous, I couldn't order things online when they started coming out so my only option was to pay MSRP on a trip to Best Buy (Which is like an hour and a half away). I didn't really have the money for that so I had to pass on the sets...

I would love to have a best buy around here in KY. everything is so far away from everything! but that's one of the reasons why I save what little money I do have and just order my Dragonball stuff on Walmart's site.
I remember when Kai was released and I called this dude at the store and asked if he had it and he said ''Yeah we got a-lot in stock here'' so I drove like 40 minutes only to find out they were all sold out lol that was fun :P But if this release turns out to be real and pops up on their site to pre-order, then I'll do it in a heart beat!

I don't really know what to think of this. I've been kinda interested in watching through the old Ocean dub from start to finish, since I've never been able to do so. Can't say I'd run out and buy a new release of this stuff, though.

"Over saturation is easy. Just drag the slider to the right and there you are: instant interest. And certainly, the majority of the public likes saturated color images. In fact, if you want to quickly create a popular image, simply over saturate the colors and increase the contrast. While you may not achieve a sophisticated image, you will achieve an image that will please a less demanding audience." - Alain Briot

While on the topic of Ocean DVDs, if these turn out to be true, I hope they can also release the supposed Ocean Dub of Z Kai onto DVD as well.

People keep talking about this, but is it actually happening?
The biggest truths aren't original. The truth is ketchup. It's Jim Belushi. Its job isn't to blow our minds. It's to be within reach.

Doesn't say anything about it being brought to DVD.

I don't have the link, so I dont know what this date means.... but
Image
MAR13 I'd assume is either March 13 or March 2013 (which is more likely). This is also the month where it's rumored that ocean actors can talk about Kai openly..so maybe there releasing the Ocean DBZ to get ready for kai...kinda like the season sets in England.

Maybe "MAR13" is just a code, because notice the "07/17/2013" which seems to be the supposed release date of it.

17th July 2013 - DBZ Saiyan Saga Ocean Dub(?)

The price is all right I guess, the complete Saiyan saga with Ocean Dub, just perfect.

I almost have no doubt this is real. this rumor or hoax is taking a long time to play out. I'm more curious how they're going to handle the video quality.

I'm still not believing it until something official is said.
