Kaio's planet is in the Afterlife, while Earth is in the Living World. That makes a huge, huge, huuuuge distance.

But the crucial difference between them lies not only in how they view the world, but in how the world views them.
Superman is, and always has been, a symbol for truth, justice, and upstanding moral fortitude–a role model and leader as much as a fighter. The more down-to-earth Goku has no illusions about being responsible for maintaining social order, or for setting some kind of moral example for the entire world. Goku is simply a martial artist who’s devoted his life toward perfecting his fighting skills and other abilities. Though never shy about risking his life to save either one person or the entire world, he just doesn’t believe that the balance of the world rests in any way on his shoulders, and he has no need to shape any part of it in his image. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Politics, society, law and order don’t have much bearing on his life, but he’s a man who knows right from wrong.

I need to find where that is, but I remember seeing it. I don't care if its not official, but that list makes a lot more sense than anything else I've seen.
To me, that doesn't make sense. A 5x gap is too much. We never really saw Gohan fight seriously but we did see that he was able to put up a fight against suppressed Cell. I don't think his full power would be so significant that Gohan would need more than a 2x boost to top that. Even if he did, he also draws strength from his anger, so the SS2 multiplier doesn't need to be more than 2x.
Then that just may be my solution to all this nonsense... 2x does make sense for Goku and Vegeta.. but I always thought it was strange how only 2 punches wiped the floor with full power Cell, and there was not even a 1.5x difference between his and Cell's power. Because Cell does power up after Gohan transforms.

SS2 Gohan from the Cell Games is most likely more than 2 times stronger from the SS Gohan we saw, since he was more angry than he ever was. His anger always gave him insane boosts of power.

Especially in Namek saga. Gohan went from most likely weaker than 30,000 Vegeta, all the way to hurting Frieza whom is over 1,000,000, in an instant with his anger. While SSJ2 is 2x, I think his anger made double fold over again. And who knows, he may have pulled out more than that.

I also don't see any problem with the x4 multiplier for Super Saiyan 3. Goku's power in Super Saiyan 2 was already huge, and a x4 increase is a huge increase for his level.

No way!
And why even bother with a power-up? Let's see a pratical example... Goku had a battle power of "over 16,000" when using the Kaio-ken, and can't overcome Vegeta. Then Vegeta does a massive power-up like the entire planet was shaking, so we can find out later his battle power is only 18,000?
Even Nappa made Earth shake upon powering up. He was no more than 4,000 (vs. the other Z fighters, before he was maxed out), and they were like "the whole planet is shaking!!"
And same thing happens when Goku goes SSJ3.. Tien in that desert made a similar comment "what is going on, the whole world is shaking!"
-_- LOL

Base Gogeta gets slaughtered. I don't think he can match Innocent Buu in base form. his SSJ form though would put him passed Buuhan.

First fight - Super Perfect Cell (manga ver) vs Gohan, Goten and Goku (the same trio from the end of DBZ Movie 10)
Second Fight - Super Perfect Cell (anime/ games ver) vs Gohan, Goten and Goku (the same trio from the end of DBZ Movie 10)
and finally:
Super Saiyan 2 Gohan (cell games) vs Gohan, Goten and Goku (the same trio from the end of DBZ Movie 10)
Super Perfect Cell wins all and so does SSJ2 Gohan. I consider movie 10 Gohan below Cell and since Goten and Goku are SSJ's they would get one shot. Unless Goku had SSJ2 during movie 10 as some speculate, then the trio loses all 3 match ups.
Why Dragon Ball Consistency in something such as power levels matter!

Doctor. wrote:I've explained before, I'll just paraphrase myself.
Power levels establish tension and drama. People who care about them (well, people who care about them in a narrative) don't care about the big numbers or the fancy explosions. If you have character A who's so much above character B, who's the main character, you're gonna be left wondering how in the hell character B, the character we're supposed to care and root for, is going to escape the situation or overcome the odds. It makes us emotionally invested.
If character B doesn't escape the situation in a believable way that's consistent with previous events, then that emotional investment is gone. It was pointless tension, pointless drama made just to suck in the viewer. It has no critical value whatsoever. The audience is left believing that the author can just create whatever scenarios he wants and what happens to the characters is decided by whatever the author wants to happen, regardless of the events that happened in the story. Which, in fairness, is what happens, but the audience wants to be fooled. The audience wants to know that the world they're following has rules. That the world they're invested in isn't going to bend to external factors that are irrelevant to them.
An author can do whatever he wants with the characters, that's not false. But the author should also have the responsibility to make sure it fits in cohesively with the other events in the narrative he has created.

I agree.
For the fights with Goku, Gohan and Goten, I don't think Goku was even there, just an image. So I've got to give those matches to Cell and Kid Gohan.
I'm re-watching Dragon Ball GT in full on my blog. Check it out if you're interested in my thoughts on the series as I watch through it!

Mmm that´s don´t make any sense. If two kids SSJ1 can transform in to SSJ3, two adults SSJ2 also become in to SSJ3 but with a huge difference of powers. Gogeta SSJ3, wipe out Boohan with one single punch. Even Gogeta in SSJ2. With Gogeta SSJ1 would be a close fight!
I think Gogeta would need Super Saiyan 2 to pull off a win against Gohan-Boo. Super Saiyan 3 would turn it from a challenging fight into downright overkill.
Super Vegetto vs Legendary Super Saiyan 3 Broli (Video Games)
That's the LSS Broli that could fight on par with Super Saiyan Gogeta, but 8 times stronger (since he is SS3 now). Can Super Vegetto beat him?
Rule: Vegetto is not Goku X Vegeta.

Vegetto will be defeated. The divine protection of Toei and Bandai who conceals saint Broly is too strong for the sowrd of light and justice of Vegetto, through the shell of the legendary super saiyan, in other words, in DBZ Budokai 3 Broly is invincible. A super saiyan 3 broly is just 8 times invincible.
