Official On-Going DBZ 2013 Movie Thread: "Battle of Gods"

To me, the supposed image of SSG Goku just looks like him powering up to a regular Super Saiyan. Like when he stands there calm and is the in-between stages of SSJ aura flare-up and regular Goku.

Why would someone draw Goku in such an intermediate, in-between state though? They could be showcasing base Goku, SSJ Goku, SSJ God Goku... but why "the in-between stages of SSJ aura flare-up and regular Goku"?

If this is ssjg, I think I overshot what I thought ssjg would look like because I was thinking more along the lines of Toei's Precure power-ups (both movies and series) when I should've been looking at the Buu arc of the manga and, ironically because it may or may not have been initially forgotten by those behind this film, Gohan's ultimate power-up along with what the old kaioshin told him about flashy ssj forms not being the right way to go about it.

But still, I can't really prove or disprove that this is it. Just have to wait it out and see.
Only a week and a half to go.

It looks a lot like kaio-ken; maybe it works that way and either Kaio-sama or one of the kaioshin teach it to him, but it's so dangerous to a mortal body that Goku can only use it once and only for a very short period of time or risk so much internal damage that he'd never be able to heal from it/fight properly again?

Goku's hair looks like its SS in the sketch,except its not yellow and not standing all the way up...it sorta looks like Gohan's when he 1st became a SSJ.

I don't think it's SSJG to be honest. In the trailers/pics we see him having an epic and insane power up, all for a simple change of hair color? Would look super lame. I don't think it's SSJG, somewhat likely, but not for a fact.

I don't think it is either. It IS just the faux-ssj thing from Lord Slug. Come on, that's lame to basically just repeat that. Unless they forgot about that too. lol. I am hoping for something a little bit more original.

And speaking of Vegeta, I do think they can actually squeeze SSJ3 into the movie for him. The only acceptable time however would be him tag teaming with Goku against Bills in space. If he were to take him on alone as SSJ3 he'd get beaten quite easily, and that defeats the purpose of us seeing Vegeta finally going SSJ3 because it'd be useless.

Having suggested that, we could also see SSJ3 Gogeta if it were to play out like this. I would honestly think he could be matched/stronger than Bills. Once he gets close to beating him Bills pulls out his transformation and wipes the floor with him. When all hope is lost is when Goku goes SSJG.

That's 3 new transformations for the main characters if it were like this, and none of them would come to waste or be useless.

That's his shoulder, and the "white" is the light part of the blue sleeve of his under shirt.

Honestly, I didn't want to bring this up, but in regards to that one screenshot of the sun death ball thingy - does anyone else not see that the possible red hair would come from the animation representing the red hue of Bilus attack or whatever reflecting on Goku's hair? It's not the first time I've seen this "red hue" either; if you look at that one scene that pans the Z-crew while Uisu is telling them that the world's gonna go bye-bye in the latest trailer (the one with Goku on the ground), when it reaches [Ultimate] Gohan, Gohan's hair is also "red." Check it out, go see for yourselves. I personally think this "red hair" is an animation thing.

I don't think they would make the mistake of leaking something they were trying to protect like that on tv right before it comes out, another reason I don't think it's SSJ God. Also, why would they draw SSJ God on a generic dragon ball poster/sign like that. It doesn't seem battle of gods related at all. How do we know that wasn't there for a long time?

Do you think Toei knew they'd gotten a shot of their front door? If that really is their super-secret ssjg form, did they allow it to be sneak-peaked on purpose? If they didn't realize what happened until after it aired on TV, do you think someone at Toei spoke with NHK about it after the fact for spoilering the form, if that is in fact it? And if it's not ssjg, what else could it be? Kaio-ken never did that to Goku's hair.

The only other things it would conceivably be to me is False Super Saiyan, or Goku mid-transformation. I don't really see why it would be either, and it's got a few key differences from FSS.

Oh. Well then. haha. But still, it doesn't make much sense for this to be the design (considering they arleady basically did this design before) and it makes little sense that it would be drawn on the poster like that to me... I dunno. It all seems weird, especially if they were trying to keep it a secret.

To be honest, I don't find it all that surprising that they'd stick a picture of it on the office door if that is ssjg (because that's a fun 'those who work here know what that is' kinda thing) but they really should've thought to temporarily take it down off the door when they knew a TV news crew was coming to visit unless Toei wanted to leak it.
