They probably mean "enough from that universe".

Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
You know, I would never want to see a movie with Bardock.
James Teal (Animerica 1996) wrote:When you think about it, there are a number of similarities between the Chinese-inspired Son Goku and that most American of superhero icons, Superman. Both are aliens sent to Earth shortly after birth to escape the destruction of their homeworlds; both possess super-strength, flight, super-speed, heightened senses and the ability to cast energy blasts. But the crucial difference between them lies not only in how they view the world, but in how the world views them.
Superman is, and always has been, a symbol for truth, justice, and upstanding moral fortitude–a role model and leader as much as a fighter. The more down-to-earth Goku has no illusions about being responsible for maintaining social order, or for setting some kind of moral example for the entire world. Goku is simply a martial artist who’s devoted his life toward perfecting his fighting skills and other abilities. Though never shy about risking his life to save either one person or the entire world, he just doesn’t believe that the balance of the world rests in any way on his shoulders, and he has no need to shape any part of it in his image. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Politics, society, law and order don’t have much bearing on his life, but he’s a man who knows right from wrong.

Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
This page does make me think that they just meant 'enough from that universe' on the prior one, so you may be onto something there Marco.
I hope this means the next time we have a special, it'll be about the Daimao from this universe. Also, loving that Bardock seems to be chilling somewhere else in the ship unbeknownst to Raichi... I can only assume that part of his agreement to come to the tournament was nobody is told about him beforehand.
Oh, that's classic.

Bardock looks pretty kickass awesome in that page.
So if the main story is going to continue now, does that mean they found a new artist to replace gogeta jr? Or are they still leftover pages from him?

That last Bardock panel has meme potential.

If something is truly perfect, that's IT! The bottom line becomes there is no room for imagination! No space for intelligence or ability or improvement! Do you understand? The last few pages of this special have been good, it's a shame there was that super dragged out middle part of it. I may be forgetting another special but I think this is probably the most informative one we've had so far, right?

Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
I wouldn't mind the carnage ones if they were as short as the Kaioshin one. That's the big problem with most of these specials. They're too long for what they're trying to convey.
Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
I don't mind carnage if it's artfully done (see: God of War 3).
Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
This Bardock is a huge buzzkill.
"Yo Bardock guess what?"
"You got tickets for that concert."
"Uh... How did..."
"...I know?"
"Stop doing that!"
"You are going to be run over by a car next Tuesday, it's going to be gruesome."
"Fuck you, man!"

And so, the new chapter begins. It looks like it's Beta still after all (woot!), but that's some really funky art going on on this particular page. Something about Kakarot's face... Oh, and I'm guessing the 'golem' must be Hirudegarn. I...guess...that's a fitting enough description of him. Never heard that term used before though.

Why is Krillin even older than he was in DBGT?

Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
I don't think they've given any reason yet, but it is weird, considering how youthful Yamcha and Tenshinhan still are from that universe. We know why for Yamcha - SPOILER: He's 'Android 17' from that universe, instead of the normal 17 that we're more used to - but we still haven't heard a reason for Tenshinhan.
For Kuririn, I'd venture a guess that maybe he trained many, many times in the Room of Spirit and Time, perhaps? That's what I'm placing my bet on for now anyway.

Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
I really dislike the whole "Saiyans, you mass murderers" in Multiverse. I don't know, it doesn't sound like something I would hear in Dragon Ball. Kuririn saying "These Saiyan bastards again!" sounds better.
Because GT is 5 years after the manga/DBZ, while DBM is 10 years after it.Marco Polo wrote:Why is Krillin even older than he was in DBGT?

Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
Oh boy! Do you guys enjoy the fact that even though this battle could have been a surprise they've spoilt it with a two chapters long boring ass special? I know I do! :D
And I hate it when people class Kuririn as a dwarf or midget. He's just fucking short.

How is something that has been stated many chapters before a spoiler? And was his number stated?Gyt Kaliba wrote:SPOILER: He's 'Android 17' from that universe, instead of the normal 17 that we're more used to

I wouldn't say Tenshinhan looks youthful. He has some wrinkles. If you feel like he should look older, that's probably a Dragon Ball/far east philosophy thing, where intensive martial arts training and meditation leads to reduced aging.Gyt Kaliba wrote:but it is weird, considering how youthful Yamcha and Tenshinhan still are from that universe.

Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
I marked it as a spoiler out of concern for Marco, just in case he was behind and hadn't read that particular part, that's all. I know it's an old plot point by now though.DNA wrote:How is something that has been stated many chapters before a spoiler? And was his number stated?
As for when was his number stated -

So much for keeping it a potential spoiler I guess though.
Oh yeah, he does have a few more wrinkles than usual, I forgot about that.batistabus wrote:I wouldn't say Tenshinhan looks youthful. He has some wrinkles. Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
Maybe it is just as simple as making Kuririn look like a sennin, since he apparently has taken over the Kame School. So simply an artistic choice, which by the way doesn't bother me at all. I think it looks nice.
