Another 2D style fighter like Infinite World?

Post by Eternal Super Saiyan » Sun Mar 03, 2013 6:44 pm

I would like some more 2D style fighters to come out. Trust me I've played Raging Blast 1 + 2, and even Ultimate Tenkaichi... Call me weird but those games get old, FAST. The gameplay is really dull, there's just no depth to it. I like how you can wonder around the levels and all the characters they added are great, but the fighting needed work. I would like it if they did maybe another Burst Limit, or something completely new but is still 2D like the others.

Super DBZ should be ported to XBLA/PSN/WiiU with online multiplayer support, but sadly I don't think the game will ever be released again on newer consoles. It's a shame because it's a great fighting game, basically, Street Fighter with DBZ characters, music, voices and whatnot.

How is that good?

I'd love to see an "Infinite World 2" game released. :D It's easily my favourite of the Budokai games, and I think it has potential to become even better.
I'm re-watching Dragon Ball GT in full on my blog. Check it out if you're interested in my thoughts on the series as I watch through it!

TRUE! The budokai games are really the only ones that felt like real Dragon Ball Z games. Burst Limit had some good fighting too, but they did what the 1st Budokai did, it ended at Cell Saga and that kinda pissed me off.

Infinite World is of course also known for the harder AI (compared to Ultimate Tenkaichi where I can have both hands off the controller and STILL BEAT IT) 8)

If they did another Infinite World, maybe add a "level up" system like Budokai 3, except make the AI a bit harder, to where if your at a lower level, difficulty is easily noticeable.

Because I can beat Z3 mode at like level 30 after a certain point in Budokai 3. That got too easy. I even did a video on youtube where I had defeated an Omega God with a level 35 Goku. Talk about limiting yourself just to have fun, right?

The easiest way to limit yourself is by using Oob. xD No teleporting or ki blasts makes Omega Shenron a bit more threatening.

The reason I didn't like Burst Limit wasn't just that it ended at Cell, but it also lacked a lot of things that I liked from the previous games. I dislike how they took out the previews for the costumes (and didn't have many alternates to begin with), capsule customisation (Infinite World was good with it I think), and I really dislike the ki system they used. Infinite World 2 with Burst Limit graphics however, would be a treat. :D

Uub vs. any God character would be tricky... but I'll try it!
