Official On-Going DBZ 2013 Movie Thread: "Battle of Gods"

Besides, why would they talk about it if they were talking only about Vegeta? It's not like Vegeta is anything special at this point, he is a weakling compared to the top Z-Senshi (Goku, Gohan, Gotenks, Mr. Boo) & the final villains (Majin Boo, Bills).

Not really, Vegeta is probably one of the best fighters by the end of the Majin Boo conflict. Why? Because he's simply the most practical one. Goku has Super Saiyan 3, but he can't really use it for long in the world of the living and it zaps his Ki like a draining battery, Gohan has the Ultimate form thanks to the Elder Kai Unlock Ability, and he could probably beat Vegeta (considering their both smart, though I'd still say Vegeta's more tactical), Gotenks is a fusion fighter who requires two weaker fighters to perform a dance (which can be interrupted) to form him, and even if he does come into being he tends to be such a clown that it'd stand to reason that only Super Boo's dumb self would have the patience for him and his shennanigans, and outside that he's only good for a 30-minute round. Vegeta has mastery of Super Saiyan 2 thanks to his constant training during peacetime, and even then Vegeta's techniques tend to be of the "I'll finish him off here and now" variety rather than the "Hehe, this is fun, I'll keep more of my power under wraps" way of fighting that Goku employs to keep himself entertained.

Yeah, I like Vegeta too, he is one of my favorites, but let's be honest here. Goku, Gohan, and Gotenks can defeat him with one punch. He is not that great anymore, sadly.

Can we please stop talking about that and give it its own topic apart from this one? I mean, fine if you think a throwaway line in a character bios on the website is canon, but let's talk about the movie. We have no idea if the movie confirms or denies it (myself, I really don't care), but let's keep this particular discussion based on the movie. Sure there could be undeniable proof in this movie that seperates Goku from Gohan in strength, but we don't know, we've talked about, it's not going anywhere, let's please please move on

Eh his character is all that really matters but yeah it is quite irksome to see Vegeta hit 4th best if we count Gotenks. Oh well I can still hope for ssj3 at the least.

Why would they say "a pure Saiyan" if they literally mean "only one pure Saiyan, Vegeta". It's like saying the scan that says Gohan was power surpassing a Super Saiyan 3 only refers to one Super Saiyan 3, being Gotenks, not Goku. If that was the case, it makes far more sense to say which single person his power surpasses. Saying "power surpassing a pure Saiyan" makes way more sense to mean pure Saiyans in general than just one single one.

It could be like Return of Cooler where Goku defeats the enemy in battle but Vegeta is the one who crushes whatever small fragment remains of the enemy

Though I think that the chance of that happening is lower than Super Saiyan 3 Vegeta being in the movie... which is sort of a shame :p

Uisu is probably pretty powerful. I would imagine he is stronger than Good Buu.
