I sure hope the SEC isn't something mundane xD

I'm really thinking it will be Super Saiyan God in order to help tie in with the movie promotions and merchandising. If they don't include it as the SEC in this set, GM8 probably won't be till May or June. I'd think they would want to get it out there before then without resorting to a promo.

Can't they have promotions cards that aren't part of any set, though?

Of course, but they usually don't have a lot of promo cards between sets. I think they've already announced more for this movie than we had between the last set gap, and some of the ones we know of already are for April.

Not ruling out the fact that it won't be the SEC, but it seems more likely that it will be. Even when the SECs aren't new transformations, they're always characters that aren't featured elsewhere in that respective set. With most this one focusing on Battle of Gods, I can't see them doing something like SS3 Trunks or Bebi Janeba, and all the major players have already been shown to have normal cards. So that kinda leaves two options: Super Saiyan God, or another Oozaru transformation for one of the left over tailed Saiyans. =P

Just a little heads up, since Ultimate Mission has now been released, the promos have been updated and the cards for Gohan: Future and Trunks: Future have now been officially unveiled.

They were released on the site like 2 weeks before the game came out. I just figured that with all the new promos for the movie and with GM7 coming up soon, I'd just make a whole new, complete download for the cards afterward.

GM7 card list is up...not a whole lot new in there. Of course we have half of the cards representing the last set, and the other half is mostly hero characters from Battle of Gods. Birusu and Uisu only have one card each. No luck on them uploading the SEC early either. xD

Hey, it's a Dimps game. Super Saiyan Gohan in the orange gi isn't new to them.

I guess they either didn't get the memo that SS Gohan is a no-go, got it too late or just don't care because we've already got a lot of Ultimate Gohan.

That's actually Adult Gohan wearing Goku's gi. Even his special move is the Super Kamehameha.

It looks like Ultimate but ... *sigh* It's Dimps, they clearly don't care too much about the whole "Ultimate overrides SSJ" debate like others tend to. They've been doing this since Budokai 3, it's nothing new.

I never realized, but the way the artists portray Ki on these cards is amazing. Even regular Ki blasts look beautifully drawn and appear to be more mystical energy than white light that we tend to see in the rest of the franchise.

I still say the hair looks like an hybrid from other forms: most of it resembles SS2/Ultimate, but there are Base/SS traits like with the back of his hair around the ears having that bottom of a bowl cut look.

Yeah, I'll agree. The ki effects on the card are usually spectacular. It's a shame the series can't have a high enough budget to get those kinds effects animated.
