I guess this 100% kills any doubt of Ultimate Gohan completely. It seems the theories of this scene being remade were correct as well since the background looks different as well. Theres also a pedestrian behind him...

The general audiance isn't supposed to know that Gohan is incredibly powerful even without transforming now, they need visual cue that he's "yet another badass ultra-powerful warrior - meaning a Super Saiyan - that we'll see fighting"!

I'm not to worried about the G rating, Dragonballs always mostly been cartoony violence in a punch, kick, and ki blast sort of way, especially compared to some of the other anime out there.

Although I wonder if we'll get any perversion from Master Roshi, and Oolong early on (Picture of them excited and whistling still standing)


Besides maybe Toei even scratched tooth and nail to get this to be rated G so more families would feel okay about seeing it, (Kind of like Fox with Titanic) as I do feel like Toei wants, and expects this to be a big deal, with it being not only the first DBZ Film in over a decade but a Japans first own release in Imax.

Well, we knew from Watanabe already that the Super Saiyan images were just for consistent early marketing. Not to mention this is a different frame from that cut, not just a re-coloring.

I dunno, I'm really enjoying it myself. I like it much better than his Buu saga look. But to each his own after all. ^_^

I know, I was just a little skeptical since it seemed like Watanabe wasn't too confident in whether he was or not. It seemed like he wrote him a "Ultimate" but the animation team made him Super Saiyan instead. Now I can rest assured that he isn't Super Saiyan.

That's "rushing" aura, not the usual ki aura.

Well, it kind of looks like he's "rushing" someone here, too. The anime gave him a regular white aura like this once or twice, regardless. Doesn't really matter, I'd think.

Yes, it's a possibility that in that screen is the Toei version of the "rush" aura, but I'm really sceptical regarding that matter. In both the anime and M13 Gohan had normal white ki aura, which is contradictory to the manga. I believe the anime gave Boo a ki aura as well, although he doesn't appear to have one in the manga neither (just the "rush" one).

Alright, now THAT's our Ultimate Gohan and not "Goku clone with short hair"

Concerning Krillin, I like the general idea of his new outfit but I think the way it's drawn make him look way shorter and younger than he should be. He looks like a kid, especially with that haircut.
