Reading the Hiragana on the package it says Onigiri, so that's a Rice Ball with some weird paste in it. The paste I'm not sure exactly what it is.

While the character animation looks better and better with every trailer, those computer generated water and energy effects look down right tacky. Here's hoping they look okay on the big screen.

The auras look absolutely great though!

I agree the CPU work seems a little stiff for this day and age, but I kinda like the look of the sun blast, or whatever you call it.

yeah that didn't totally bug me, it was mostly the water thrown up by Vegeta after he gets slammed by Birisu that made me wince.

In general though, It seems to always be a better idea to animate elements that characters interact with by hand. Otherwise it tends to look pasted on.

I really don't like the mix of CG in there, it sticks out like a sore thumb to me. The Charizard comparison is pretty good at showing this.

Haha, yep! Now looking at the packaging, you're right. I guess the Kanji above the Onigiri Hiragana being Genki-Dama didn't register with me. The image probably should've given it away, but I didn't think of that either.

Those blue and orange guard uniforms are the more interesting point to me. I do not know the history of those at all. I am curious about the color choice, but I don't even know what those guards are titled.
EDIT: They're Swiss Guards, apparently; and the uniforms were designed in the early 1900's to resemble Renaissance-style.

Kind of relieved it's a paste in there and not a raw egg.

Looking at the package image again, it's a spicy curry paste. There was some more writing that said that スパイシーカレー(A Kanji after that I couldn't make out). But that Katakana said Spicy Curry.
