It was around 4 o'clock (maybe) in the morning in Japan when he logged off and that was about half an hour ago. Do the math.
Well, it seems to be 7 AM already in Japan so I may be mistaken

Superman is, and always has been, a symbol for truth, justice, and upstanding moral fortitude–a role model and leader as much as a fighter. The more down-to-earth Goku has no illusions about being responsible for maintaining social order, or for setting some kind of moral example for the entire world. Goku is simply a martial artist who’s devoted his life toward perfecting his fighting skills and other abilities. Though never shy about risking his life to save either one person or the entire world, he just doesn’t believe that the balance of the world rests in any way on his shoulders, and he has no need to shape any part of it in his image. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Politics, society, law and order don’t have much bearing on his life, but he’s a man who knows right from wrong.

The victim of violent head trauma as an infant [...] he's a simple bumpkin with a fair share of brain damage who's natural talents to work out what's wrong compensate for his broad lack of common sense. But he's also a fighter, through and through [...] he fight until he has, in no uncertain terms, beaten his enemy on terms they can both acknowledge. He doesn't want to kill anyone, or even prove that he can win... he just wants to know he can. He's an ineffably charming bastard who's manly leanings were really incendental, and yes, the fact that he was voiced by a squeaky woman made the combination perhaps all the more charming.
As a pretty big Gohan fan myself, I'm pretty satisfied. I already knew he would be sidelined from the start (in terms of fights), so I was hoping for some great comedy. Kei17 did say the funniest scene did involve drunken Gohan, so I'm pretty elated!VyeRo wrote:Love the bit with Videl and fetus!Pan, it's so unexpected but exciting nonetheless! To be honest, I thought Videl would have bigger role to play than just 'being pregnant'.
Is it confirmed that Gohan and Videl are married at this point? Would be amazing if they aren't, Chichi's expression alone would be worth it. Gohan knocking up his girlfriend and getting drunk at a party, never thought he had it in him! He's almost a parody of himself, the quiet, reserved, sensible teen he used to be![]()
I also think it's a nice touch on Toei's part that they have Vegeta actually being relevant, or even include a power up for him. I mean they sidelined Gohan in this movie (I assume he gets taken out of the fight pretty quickly, only Vegeta is able to hold his own against Bills, right?) and pretty much is credited only for getting Videl pregnant. It also appeared to me that he wasn't as heavily featured in the marketing/merchandising of the movie. Of course, maybe he will be featured more aside from his drunken escapades, but it doesn't look very promising for Gohan fans from what we've seen/heard.

Wait, I missed this.... well, given the implications, this means Vegeta is in all actuality stronger than Goku if he can surpass SSJ3 Goku's strength in a lower form, Vegeta's got some deep hidden potential, I like it... very much soMaster Turbo wrote:Yes, I'm glad to know that a SSJ2 Vegeta can exceed SSJ3 Goku, even if its only temporally.
Well he his an elite and the Prince of all Saiyans, so the deep potential makes sense.Sanity's_Theif wrote:Wait, I missed this.... well, given the implications, this means Vegeta is in all actuality stronger than Goku if he can surpass SSJ3 Goku's strength in a lower form, Vegeta's got some deep hidden potential, I like it... very much soMaster Turbo wrote:Yes, I'm glad to know that a SSJ2 Vegeta can exceed SSJ3 Goku, even if its only temporally.

That would be fantastic. I feel like it'd make for a fun mini-arc if it were a series; Vegeta learning he may have more potential than Goku has, but knowing he can't access it unless he gets a better handle on his own emotions which is something that'd just make Vegeta feel incredibly awkward about. I guess he isn't that good with his emotions, ergo can't easily access his potential.
I agree, that'd be completely amazing.Chuquita wrote:That would be fantastic. It's my understanding that he only does it to help Goku achieve Super Saiyan God, rather than fighting in it, yeah.Sanity's_Theif wrote:Wait, does Gohan fight in SSJ? Or does he just use it for SSG once?
