Was it more of a "Both characters are dead even at first, but X character manages to put up a win after a long fight, barely edging out a win" type of thing?

Or a "X character decides to use his full power to stomp his opponent" type of thing?

Goku shows up later than that, but at the very end of the movie, it turns out that he was there and seeing Vegeta's fighting. There was no mention of Vegeta's dancing, though.

Ahh, so I was only about half right, in that nobody outside of those two know, but Videl knew before Dende told her. That's going to be a great scene, I can tell.

A little bit off topic, is that whole scene giving anyone else a weird sense of deja vu? I know I've seen a character with some kind of clairvoyance or what-not touching another character, and sensing they're pregnant, but I can't for the life of me remember what it's from...

Ah, that's good. Very good. I can't wait for the film to his mainstream theaters for more accurate details on the animation credit. One person at one showing can't be expected to catch 'em all, after all.

Frankly, as much as I anticipate the animation I'm even more enthralled by the pregnancy storyline. It's like a soap opera! I hope Watanabe and Toriyama can re-team for another movie, espicially if there are eleven more Destruction Gods out there.

When going over the events of SSJG, was there a flashback showing these early Saiyan's at all, or was it, as i'm expecting, just an explanation without visuals?

There was a flashback of the former SSJG while Shenlong is explaining about it, but it was just an Oozaru.

Guess that's the Oozaru image seen earlier that everyone assumed was a flashback to the Pilaf "saga". Thanks for your answer!

Probably not what your thinking of, but something like that happened in the series (and I'm guessing the book it's based off of) The Pillars of the Earth. Great series if you've never seen it btw.
