yeah i wouldn't worry about garlic jr, i re-watched that arch earlier in this year and it really gets worse with age imoKaboom wrote:I've yet to see all but a few scattered bits and pieces of the Androids-to-Cell arc of FUNimation's dub of Kai. Really want to pick up the "season" sets for it sooner or later. Especially with a Majin Boo arc probably-sorta on the horizon.
Pretty sure I've yet to watch the Garlic Jr arc all the way through, too. THAT one I'm in no rush to get to.

Not only have I seen it, I reviewed it on my website! You can watch the whole thing on YouTube.Gyt Kaliba wrote:or that Korean film (has anyone seen that though, or is that just something that we know exists and only really have screenshots of it?).
I've yet to watch all of GT in Japanese. If you count the dub GT I watched, then I've seen essentially everything the franchise has to offer.

Oh lord...so it really does exist. I'm going to hate myself after watching it, I can tell just from your review. Maybe it's best if I don't watch i - oh who am I kidding. Suffering ahoy! And thanks.djkalteraphine wrote:Not only have I seen it, I reviewed it on my website! It's entertaining, and oddly faithful to the manga. Though it does make some... bizarre choices. (Oolong does a Kamehameha, Umigame beats up Pilaf, Umigame bites Muten Roshi's nuts, for some reason Raditz is there, etc etc)Gyt Kaliba wrote:Oh lord...so it really does exist. I'm still waiting for a release of it on DVD
I actually love the Korean movie even if it doesn't have subtitles

Yeah, I read through your review, so I can tell that I'm in for some good stuff mixed in with the...uh..."other". Oddly enough, I actually can buy Umigame beating up Pilaf for some reason.djkalteraphine wrote:It's entertaining, and oddly faithful to the manga. Though it does make some... bizarre choices. And as gialloman said, great site. I started flipping through it after your link, and am enjoying your reviews. I did something similar (although nowhere near as in-depth or as well-written) a few years back as well, as I watched through the entire series in Japanese for the very first time. Mine was only ever posted on the FUNimation Forums (kind of a pseudo-in-depth 'dubbie checks out the Japanese version and enjoys it, you should too!' kinda thing), though I am now slowly porting it over to my new blog as an archive.
So...yeah, keep up the great work.

To keep things on topic, I've never seen anything related to Dr. Slump, and I sort of like to cover that stuff on my blog as well (since the blog's purpose is much the same as this thread - to watch everything related to DB!). Thing is, it doesn't look like an official or fan english subbed version exists of the whole thing. Such a shame! You'd think with how popular Dragon Ball is, and how popular Slump is in its own right, we'd get something in the english-speaking world. Oh well.

I never got round to finishing Dragonball so I still haven't seen the Piccolo vs Goku era.
