Which Dragonball games never got released outside of Japan?
In inspiration of DBZGTKOSDH, I thought it'd be nice to have a list here on the forum of which games never got released outside of Japan. I know none of the Nes (apart from Legend of Shenlong) or gameboy games got international releases, the Playdia games, a PC engine game, the arcade games, and sadly Ultimate Butoden didn't either. But are there others?

Heroes Ultimate Mission? Can't believe this will get released ever.
Except Dragon Power, I think the other NES games weren't released and those two game boy games weren't either.

Battle Stadium D.O.N - PS2
Dragon Ball Kai: Ultimate Butoden - DS
Plus the early black and white Game Boy games, Famicom and even more.
By the way, I think we're lucky Super DBZ was actually released in EU/US because it's the least DBZ game that has respect, maybe because the haters would have preferred another Tenkaichi.

Dragon Ball Wiki is actually good for something: http://dragonball.wikia.com/wiki/List_o ... ed_by_Year
They add the LCD handheld games, which I don't really consider video games.

I didn't know people respected Sagas, Ultimate Battle 22, Taiketsu, and Final Bout.dbboxkaifan wrote:By the way, I think we're lucky Super DBZ was actually released in EU/US because it's the least DBZ game that has respect, maybe because the haters would have preferred another Tenkaichi.
"I like the money it brings in, but Dragon Ball Heroes is the worst. That's actually the real reason I decided to start working on new material. I was afraid Bandai would make something irredeemably stupid like Super Saiyan 4 Broly." - Akira Toriyama, made up interview, 2013.

I swear there was also some card-based game on the regular DS that wasn't released internationally, can't remember the name of it though.
I'm re-watching Dragon Ball GT in full on my blog. Check it out if you're interested in my thoughts on the series as I watch through it!

Oh, my mistake then. Pretty surprised that got released outside of Japan to be honest.Super Saiyan Prime wrote:We got Hakunaru Densetsu.Saiga wrote:I swear there was also some card-based game on the regular DS that wasn't released internationally, can't remember the name of it though.

I do care for both. Ultimate Battle 22 because the first time i heard of it i found information that there are animations for whatever characters you choose pre-battle, and i was excited for it. Unfortunately these got censored in other versions than the Japanese one. And because of that massive roster for old times.Super Saiyan Prime wrote:Ultimate Battle 22, and Final Bout.
Final Bout because it's the first 3D game from the Dragon Ball Universe i ever touched, and it's the nostalgia feelings speaking. After you spent multiple days on training Goku SS4 on build-up mode, trying to unlock Gotenks and Gogeta (-__-) and battling Baby Vegeta, you will realize it was an awesome experience.
People criticize these game because of what they are NOW, not what they were BACK THEN. It's obvious both of them didn't age well. But yeah, Super Saiyajin 4 in a PSX Game? That was incredible.

No, those of us who were around heavily criticized Ultimate Battle 22 and Final Bout when they were both new.
The only reason Final Bout got any amount of a pass was because we could toss the domestic version in our PS1s without having to mod it and actually play a legitimate Dragon Ball game.
