They put the "I am..." speech on the cover art for the Blu-Rays, not really surprised that they'd use Rock the Dragon to be honest. I think Funimation knows their fan base pretty well.

Yeah. Rock The Dragon makes much more sense than that speech in my eyes. I think that'd be more recognizable to an average, casual fan looking for some nostalgia.

Also, is it just me, or does the background in the cover look like the Kaioshin realm?

What's the "I am..." speech and what cover are you referring to?

You can barely see it, but it's just above Goku's hair.
It's the "I am the hope of the universe. I am the answer to all living things that cry out for peace. I am truth. I am the light in the darkness. I am *blah, blah, blah, can't remember what goes here...* ALLY TO GOOD, NIGHTMARE TO YOU!"

Yeah, sorry you guys had to read that...

Oh my God! I forgot all about that! :P I guess it makes sense.

Ugh. I'd take "These balls bring me something like pleasure" over the "Ally to good, nightmare to you!" speech. THAT. SPEECH. DOESN'T. MAKE. ANY. F***ING. SENSE.

I thought for some reason Amazon would add it to their product listing this 17th March but it still isn't there, I'll just be patient and that's that.

If this ends up just being a god awful joke on the DBZ fanbase, it'd be really mean. It seems legit so far, so I'll believe in that for now still.

I think it'll be another month before it's listed on Amazon.

Haha I've always loved that "I am the hope of the universe" speech. It was cheesey but I loved it. They even had it in Budokai 3. Maybe this listing is just one sick joke like the Sparking Omega thing that had fans going nuts last year.

It's not merely cheesy, it's out of character. Goku's not that poetic.

I'd hate that. I didn't give a rats ass about "Dragon Ball Z: Sparking Omega!!" because well.. It was a Sparking/Tenkaichi kind of game, but this is something I'm really looking forward to.

I really hope this is legit.

Yeah, me too. I check daily Amazon.com's Anime Newest Products for Pre-Order and still nothing of DBZ Ocean Dub Saiyan Saga. :(

Doesn't hurt to check the website each day and when it's added, I'll be very happy.

I have been watching this topic grow for a while now and i thought it was time to sign up and have my say.

If this is true, and at this stage it is looking more and more likely, then i can't wait. I hope they don't just release episodes 1-53 because we have already had that, i want the whole dub released. I am also hoping that they have dubbed the Ginyu, Frieza, Garlic Jr and first few episodes of Trunks saga's, that would be sweet. I am probably 1 of only a few people that hope that they keep the Mega Man music, for me it fitted in well with Dragon Ball Z and i would love them to keep it. I also expect them to fix some minor mess ups like Cell saying "if only i had completed my transformiction" :D personally i hope they don't fix it because it's something i have always enjoyed hearing.

It's late on in March now and we are still waiting for an official announcement, but because it is still yet to be denied i got to admit that my hopes are pretty high.

I'm guessing the skipped episodes will be absent (assuming more sets are to come). It'd be strange to go in and record those now with the awkward dub scripts of old, but even more strange to see something closer to the Japanese for these few moments.
"Those transformations insane,
They wanna turn up hours late and steal the show from the pros who had to die for the name." - Yamcha (DBWTF: Z-Rap 3)

"Over saturation is easy. Just drag the slider to the right and there you are: instant interest. And certainly, the majority of the public likes saturated color images. In fact, if you want to quickly create a popular image, simply over saturate the colors and increase the contrast. While you may not achieve a sophisticated image, you will achieve an image that will please a less demanding audience." - Alain Briot

any redubbed stuff from Ocean seem to just be Kai.
My favourite art style (and animation) outside Toriyama who worked on Dragon Ball: Katsuyoshi Nakatsuru, Masaki Satō, Minoru Maeda, Takeo Ide, Hisashi Eguchi, Katsumi Aoshima, Tomekichi Takeuchi, Masahiro Shimanuki, Kazuya Hisada

I really don't see any point in them continuing to release the terrible Westwood dub. I say release the Saban dub and leave it at that. There's no way they could dub those middle sagas to be consistent with the Saban dub. Not with the amount of actors that have left and change in music. Having the Ginyu-Trunks sagas butchered with that awful megaman music would be a nightmare come true imo. It was just so damn repetitive and didn't suit DBZ at all. Most of the time they seemed to just be playing music for the sake of music with no thought put into the music fitting with the scene and the same few tracks getting overused like crazy.
