Birus is meant to be the strongest so far. Regardless of who was remembered or forgotten, that's part of the concept of the character.
If they had forgotten Vegetto, Birus would be the strongest cause he's meant to be the strongest so far.
If they had remembered Vegetto, Birus would still be the strongest cause he's meant to be the strongest so far.

There's not much to debate when it was clearly stated "main characteristic: is the strongest character in the whole story so far" (meaning it encompasses ANY character that might have shown up until now, without even the need to mention specific ones).

It seems logical anyway, if a form so powerful it takes six Saiyans to reach it could not succeed, a form using two Saiyans was likely not anywhere close to success either.

If you're having a hard time accepting Bills/Beers/Bruce/Billy as stronger than Vegetto, then you could always just presume Vegetto would at least give him a better fight than anyone else, and would maybe just need Super Saiyan 2 or 3 to beat him. Otherwise, if you want to have a more in-depth discussion about it, go ahead and make a thread in the In-Universe section instead of bringing this one too far off-topic.

Anyway... Holy crap, those clips. The fight scene was amazing, and yes, seeing Super Saiyan 3 Goku being toyed with like that makes it all the more believable that even Gohan and Gotenks would be taken care of so easily. At least Gohan actually got to lay a hand on the guy.

Anyone feel up to translating the dialogue in the first scene with Billy and and Whiz for us? Gotta love that new Goku Vs Freeza footage, too.

FUCKING AWSOME!!! So Goku doesn't get beat by a pluck but rather a light chop to the shoulder/neck area. As if that still isn't humiliating .

I guess this quote from the man himself means that he doesn't mind GT's existence (even though that was already established in the GTDBox) and that the events that take place aren't meant to "HELLZ yeA RETCon GT!!" So I think people can officially kill that noise when word gets out on youtube.

Going by some of the other remarks in the interview, I think AT would be all for continuing the story just as long as he doesn't have to draw anything.

Okay, just watched the new clip, and all I can say is - Holy. Crap. I freakin' love Bils now, not only does he have a cool, unexpected design, but his personality is so different from any 'villain' we've had before now. This movie is going to be great. I also wasn't expecting to see him toy with Goku so much, though it's fitting with the 'cat' motif. And I'm liking the musical score from what we get to hear there too.

I. NEED. THIS. MOVIE.

I agree, I kinda almost feel like Birusu isn't really a villain per say, he doesn't seem to be truly evil...... It's just his job to destroy planets, and the impressions I get of him is of as someone similar to Goku, as in he just wants to fight and be tested, and how he destroyed Kaio's planet from losing a video game, I imagine him being quite hot headed, maybe not thinking much of his own actions or their consequences, but not evil......

I think that because he isn't evil he would be able to have the opportunity on occasions to return to the franchise on occasion, not just as an antagonist. Maybe we will see him again one day hanging out with Kaio playing more video games and wanting to spar with Goku for fun n a way that wouldn't make a big story out of it......

That's how I feel anyway.

One day I would love something maybe showing Uisu finding a young hot headed Birusu and Birusu trying to take on more than he could chew, Uisu then taking him in and mentoring him, teaching him in the martial arts and what not, I think that would be quite cool to see!!

Oh wow, oh wow, oh wow! That was amazing! And that punch from Goku that busted Kaios planet was epic. Birusu is a monster. I love the way he acts too, so much different than any other enemy yet. I need to see this movie!

Oh that was really freaking awesome!!

I don't understand the whole Vegetto thing though Of the strongest characters, regardless whether or not the one is stronger than the other we have Super Saiyajin 3 Goku and Ultimate Gohan, right? They both fight Bills, they both get their asses handed to them in an almost humiliating battle. And let's say both of those characters did their absolute best. It's obvious that Bills was just toying with them. And then Goku transforms into Super Saiyajin God. Surely with the power of six Saiyajins this surpasses Vegetto, SURELY! And Goku STILL doesn't win of Bills. Please tell me if there is ANY evidence whatsoever that you can use to compare Super Saiyajin God Goku and Vegetto that holds any water.

I do think though that if Vegetto were to transform to Super Saiyajin 3 it might be a different story... I don't know, but regular Super Vegetto, I think Bills outmatches him (not by an extreme lot, but I think Bills would still win. Besides, Bills is established as being the strongest there ever was in the history of Z. That pretty much definitively states that he is stronger than Vegetto. And would it even be bad that he's stronger? I mean, sure it matters to some, that's absolutely fine. But I have the feeling that some people just personally can't take it if Bills is made out to be stronger than Vegetto. Why would this be bad?

Oh well, I loved that whole fight :p Especially the awesome music when Goku charges at Bills and then it just ends within 3 seconds :p

Glad it wasn't just me noticing this. The first time this sensation came over me was when I saw the first episode of Kai raw after it came out, and it was scary how much I was able to follow along (even given what Kai was), and this was before I watched everything else in the series subbed.

Yeah, I've picked up a nice handful of words over the years. I couldn't hold any sort of conversation, but various words I do recognize now. 'Course, it helped that the main dialogue of this clip was Bils just repeating 'Super Saiya-jin' over and over heh.

That would be awesome, but I dunno if they'd want to risk it. WAAAYYYY to easy for it to be ripped if they did that.
