Official On-Going DBZ 2013 Movie Thread: "Battle of Gods"

Hey, VegettoEX, what got you into Dragon Ball and how did you find people to help with the website? I'm dieing to know. And battle of gods gives me mixed feelings. The new art looks cheap and bothers me, but the movie's quality surprises me. It looks amazing.

That's my only real worry when it comes to new Dragon Ball stuff. The animation is too different to me and sometimes doesn't look right.

The animation looks far better in motion than it does in screenshots.

In the screenshot with Goku it looks like Gohan and Piccolo tried to fight again or something, only to lose again, as they still look out of it; while 18 and Tien look fine, but that goes against what we'd heard. Hmmm unless, they just got hit harder, and are just now getting up? And wheres Vegeta in all these group shots?

I ordered with PayPal because I don't have a creditcard. It's easy and I didn't even have to register for an account at CDjapan. So glad they have that option

Yes, use paypal. CD Japan did the exact thing with my credit card and I just used paypal (with my credit card tied to my paypal account) and it worked.

Admittedly, it's probably not correct, and I came up with whist first, and had to try to find another game that could possibly match "Birusu".

They may have been confirmed as puns on "Virus" several pages back; the origin stems from something related to an earlier draft of the script where Birusu had evil-casting powers.

I want to see Piccolo do something. I used to love Piccolo. He was so cool, so awesome, mysterious and amazing; intimidating. But now he's the butt of jokes. Toriyama, I watched you show all my life since the days of fox, way before Toonami. Why can't everyone be useful? Give the humans more special techniques or reveal a big secret (rewrite it) that humans have an ancient legend about the super human or human god or human enlightened master. I want to see amazing stuff from other characters, not just Goku and his male cheerleaders.

Sounds like Toriyama wanted too, but the script of Battle of Gods would have been to long.
