Did a little DBZ metal medley!

Post by Cursed Lemon » Sun Mar 24, 2013 7:24 pm

Hey guys, new guy here. I'd joined to ask a question in the general section, but I figured since I just completed this, I'd pass it off to you guys as well. It's a little medley I did of the Funi DBZ soundtrack, with an AMV attached to make it less boring. :P

I love it!

Now to await Mr Scott Morgan's opinion.

Mayuri Kurotsuchi wrote:"In this world, nothing perfect exists. It may be a cliche after all but it's the way things are. That's precisely why ordinary men pursue the concept of perfection, it's infatuation. But ultimately I have to ask myself "What is the true meaning of being perfect?" and the answer I came up with was nothing. Not one thing. The truth of the matter is I despise perfection! If something is truly perfect, that's IT! The bottom line becomes there is no room for imagination! No space for intelligence or ability or improvement! Do you understand? To men of science like us, perfection is a dead end, a condition of hopelessness. Always strive to be better than anything that came before you but not perfect! Scientist's agonize over the attempt to achieve perfection! That's the kind of creatures we are! We take joy in trying to exceed our grasp, in trying to reach for something that in the end, we have to admit may in fact be unreachable!"

I first expected a metal remix of Kageyama songs and the Kikuchi score and was a little disappointed after clicking the link, but it's still nice anyway. Though I think metal never goes with Dragon Ball, I like your remix as an independent piece of music.

I found one on YouTube that matches that Kikuchi description: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q8mZFChWMlY (EDIT: Haha, I saw a comment from you in the description of that video. So, you already knew about it, haha.)

But in regards to yours - Cursed Lemon: Very nice! A nice proper metal tribute to more of my favorite tracks from the 'Falcouner' score.

Awesome! :) Man, I'm bewildered by the increasing amount of amazing Faulconer Productions remixes and covers these days. The fans have really come into their own now. No free rides for me anymore lol. Great job. I love it :D

That's an impressive list of covers you have on your channel btw. Your "Beat It" solo is one of the best I've heard.

I thought about covering a Kageyama song, but a problem arises, as I'm a terrible singer. ;o And I'd feel extremely cheap just playing the melody on guitar!

Thanks guys, it means a lot. :)

This was really awesome!
One of the best fanmade DBZ remixes I`ve heard in quite a while!
Also known as "GeniDude" and "NerdyNorwegian"!
