I think he means that if Piccolo couldn't sense the godly ki in the movie, then it's likely that he didn't with Kaioshin during the Budokai, and only quit because he knew he was a higher being, instead of because of his power.

That doesn't confirm that Piccolo is stronger than Shin or even support it. It just doesn't confirm that Kaioshin was stronger than Piccolo.

Yes, he can, because there's no evidence to Shin being weaker than Yakon. There's no implication of Piccolo's strength in the Cell arc except for >>pre-RoSaT Piccolo and <50% Goku.

No, he didn't. He outright told Goku he would be of no use, and made Goku admit it:

That's just because he hasn't been fighting yet? All the characters at that point in the series hide their strength until battle begins.

I forgot to comment on the soundtrack samplings, which probably goes to show how much of an impression they left...

I guess some good news is that according to the runtimes on the iTunes store, the full-length version of FLOW's "Head-Cha-La" is actually on the soundtrack CD, so you don't have to purchase the CD single to own it in its entirety. That's good news for me, since I was only planning on picking up the former. I just wish the full-length version of "Hero" was on the soundtrack as well, so that I could ignore the CD single entirely. So close, and yet...!

As for the music itself... my wait for a true spiritual successor to Kikuchi continues. To be fair, I'll wait to listen to the disc in its entirety, but most of the tracks are under two minutes, so I think I heard more than enough from the 45-second previews to form an opinion. None of the original compositions really stand out, and like others have said, they just don't seem like DragonBall music. I was hoping for something more upbeat and bouncy, but instead we get the seemingly now-standard somber music with random choirs and stuff. The "bingo" jingle was cute, and the orchestral version of "Head-Cha-La" (track 42) was so beautiful that I nearly fell to my knees and wept, but the other stuff? It just screams "generic" to me.
