Interested to see actual game mechanics...
Also, Yusuke Uramsehi and Hiruma Kenshin would be great additions to the roster.

Heh heh... "Battle Stadium D.O.N.T."
I would like to see some older JUMP series get some representation... It would be badass to see Kenshin, Kenshiro, or Pegasus Seiya in here.

Nothing matters (in a cosmic sense.) Have a good time.

Well I was going by a post above mine or on the previous page when I mentioned "2 more series" but since theres is no confirmed number of franchises that'll make it to the I hope they try to replicate the Jump Ultimate Stars roster as much as possible.
It's not too late. One day, it will be.

http://www.kanzenshuu.com/2012/12/12/pr ... -ps3-vita/Images in the magazine show off Toriko’s “Nail Punch”, Luffy’s “Gum-Gum Stamp”, and Goku’s Kamehameha. The magazine also asks readers to enter a new contest by choosing up to three characters they feel are the strongest and why (as well as detailing their favorite manga, which game consoles they own, their favorite game genre, and how many video games they own). Naturally, rivals and female characters are OK, too! From all those who enter, 10 people will be chosen by lottery to receive a PlayStation 3 system. Votes will be tallied to determine which characters make the game’s final roster cut. The deadline is 31 January 2013, so that presumably puts the game’s release at least at some point in time after that.
Last week’s contest asked readers to design their own character and send it in — that contest’s deadline is this month on the 28th. Prizes for that contest include:
Grand prize (1 person) – paper signed by Eiichiro Oda, Wii U premium set, and 5 games of your choosing
Second prize (20 people) – Nintendo 3DS LL (XL)
Effort Prize (100 people) – SONY Walkman
The game’s recently-unveiled teaser website asks visitors to look for more information on the 17th of this month, which falls right in line with the release of this particular Jump magazine release.
James Teal (Animerica 1996) wrote:When you think about it, there are a number of similarities between the Chinese-inspired Son Goku and that most American of superhero icons, Superman. Both are aliens sent to Earth shortly after birth to escape the destruction of their homeworlds; both possess super-strength, flight, super-speed, heightened senses and the ability to cast energy blasts. But the crucial difference between them lies not only in how they view the world, but in how the world views them.
Superman is, and always has been, a symbol for truth, justice, and upstanding moral fortitude–a role model and leader as much as a fighter. The more down-to-earth Goku has no illusions about being responsible for maintaining social order, or for setting some kind of moral example for the entire world. Goku is simply a martial artist who’s devoted his life toward perfecting his fighting skills and other abilities. Though never shy about risking his life to save either one person or the entire world, he just doesn’t believe that the balance of the world rests in any way on his shoulders, and he has no need to shape any part of it in his image. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Politics, society, law and order don’t have much bearing on his life, but he’s a man who knows right from wrong.

Re: J-Stars Victory Vs. (JUMP crossover game) for PS3/Vita
Glad to hear it's not seeming to be only two more series, so there is some hope for YYH and Kenshin at least to be represented, phew.
In theory, I think the best way for them to do the roster would be to include three characters from each series they represent, that being 1) the lead; 2) a major supporting character; and 3) the series' most iconic villain. So for Dragon Ball, that could be, say, Goku, Vegeta (or Piccolo maybe to have something even more different from Goku), and Freeza. The problem with this though is it probably limits the amount of characters from various series that we'll get to see...
So my other theory and hope is that maybe it'll just be the lead characters from different series and nothing else - then if there's any kind of story mode or even just a story to the game, they could easily say it's a 'Tournament of Heroes' or something. Literally nothing but the leads would leave room for a ton of series to get represented, and probably everyone would play really differently based on their different series' mechanics (especially if they include say, Yugi Moto. Or, though he's certainly not a 'hero', Light w/Ryuk or something).

To sweeten up the deal I hope they'll include some Kikuchi DBZ BGM tracks, as I'll be importing it too, fingers crossed it has some of it.
FUNimation 2015 Releases I want:
- Kai 2.0 on Blu-ray
- Kai 2.0 on Blu-ray
Re: J-Stars Victory Vs. (JUMP crossover game) for PS3/Vita
I need Atem, Yusuke, Ichigo, and Kenshin for the instant buy.
Re: J-Stars Victory Vs. (JUMP crossover game) for PS3/Vita
I really hope this game sells well, maybe then it'll inspire GANBARION to develop a new JUMP game for the Nintendo 3DS.
One World.

So do you think Birus will make it to the game? He's in Zenkai so i don't think they would have problems with his models or attacks. I hope he's in!!
Re: J-Stars Victory Vs. (JUMP crossover game) for PS3/Vita
It'd probably be smart to include either him or Super Saiyan Godku (or both) for marketing reasons. Maybe this Goku will have Super Saiyan God instead of his regular transformations?

It would be funny and cool if Goku could become a giant for a limited amount of time like it happened in Battle Stadium D.O.N.Saiga wrote:It'd probably be smart to include either him or Super Saiyan Godku (or both) for marketing reasons. Here's an example:

It had the same effect on the other characters too.

Hopefully the movie will give us an idea of the combat system, or maybe even debut a new character... probably too soon for that though.Wobbuffet wrote:The official website was updated. There will be a preview movie soon.

Perhaps Gokuu thinks he's Piccolo?

Doesn't everyone turn into giants in D.O.N?

I hope not, because the idea of Goku having an ill-fitting random power for the game is hilarious.DBZGTKOSDH wrote:Doesn't everyone turn into giants in D.O.N?

I thought the game had items, similar to Smash Bros. So whatever that item was that Goku picked up was the equivalent to a Super Mushroom.
