I wonder if they're all here for DBZ.
EDIT: Huh, Julian's not using his Super Collaboration ticket.

How so?Raykugen wrote:So, for Toriyama, DB Online isn't canon

James Teal (Animerica 1996) wrote:When you think about it, there are a number of similarities between the Chinese-inspired Son Goku and that most American of superhero icons, Superman. Both are aliens sent to Earth shortly after birth to escape the destruction of their homeworlds; both possess super-strength, flight, super-speed, heightened senses and the ability to cast energy blasts. But the crucial difference between them lies not only in how they view the world, but in how the world views them.
Superman is, and always has been, a symbol for truth, justice, and upstanding moral fortitude–a role model and leader as much as a fighter. The more down-to-earth Goku has no illusions about being responsible for maintaining social order, or for setting some kind of moral example for the entire world. Goku is simply a martial artist who’s devoted his life toward perfecting his fighting skills and other abilities. Though never shy about risking his life to save either one person or the entire world, he just doesn’t believe that the balance of the world rests in any way on his shoulders, and he has no need to shape any part of it in his image. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Politics, society, law and order don’t have much bearing on his life, but he’s a man who knows right from wrong.
Would they have torn part of the Super Collaboration ticket if he'd presented it? I feel like I remember someone saying there was a place for it to be torn, but it didn't interfere with the artwork; still maybe he wanted to fully preserve it? I dunno.DragonBoxZTheMovies wrote:It's around about 8:30 am in Japan right now.

In DBO Ten creates his own martial arts. If in the perspective of Toriyama could that happen, he would have said such important thing instead of say he trains and works in a farm.DBZGTKOSDH wrote:What makes you think that?Raykugen wrote:So, for Toriyama, DB Online isn't canon
The movie mentions and recognized Tarble as a real character? Oh God, why??sonikku956 wrote:So, Yamcha, Ten, and Chaozu have jobs, but Krillin doesn't? At least Goku is still a radish farmer (the movie mentions Tarble, so I'm guessing that he is a farmer here as well)!
I'm excited for the summary as well, but for some reason I also wanna see a little blog that details the events of the day. Probably because I like photos.Chuquita wrote:I hope this means the super-giant-ultra-summary will be completed and uploaded later tonight!
I was hoping for a live stream...am I expecting too much?fogdark wrote:It'll be really fun to hear to this week's podcast if its about the movie, and filled with spoilers haha
Eh, are you seriously asking that? It's a movie, on a theater, not a TV program anyone can record. So no, don't expect the movie right from Japan anytime soon, and if you do see something, it'll be a crappy bootleg version.hulkty wrote:So will the movie be subbed and ready to view either tonight or tomorrow online?
Damn, I think I'd tear up a bit if I saw that on a theater. That's nostalgic to the max, right in the heart...As the end credits scroll, we get a flip through of the Kanzenban manga as important panels are highlighted.
A camrip? Probably. English fansubbed? Doubt it. Not until a week after a camrip leaks, at least.hulkty wrote:So will the movie be subbed and ready to view either tonight or tomorrow online?
