Tips for someone new to Dragon Ball Z: Legends.
So, for context as to why I bought a game I didn't know how to play at all, a video game merch booth at PAX East had the Saturn version to Dragon Ball Z: Legends and I got it, since I knew I probably wouldn't find it out of the blue like that again. Now, I'm getting a Memory Card Plus for the Saturn so that will allow me to play import games. But I was wondering what I should expect going into it. Like, does the game play better with the 3D Controller ala NiGHTS? Or am I better off using the regular Saturn controller? Just stuff like that. Legends looks like it really requires you to know what you're doing, so I was hoping I could get some tips.

Use the good old standard controller. It works really well with Legends. And it's easy to get into...ShadowDude112 wrote:So, for context as to why I bought a game I didn't know how to play at all, a video game merch booth at PAX East had the Saturn version to Dragon Ball Z: Legends and I got it, since I knew I probably wouldn't find it out of the blue like that again. Yeah, it's a purely-digital game. No need for the analog controller.
The only hurdle that might take a little bit of time to adjust to is that "up" moves you forward no matter where you are on the screen. It's like old tank controls in Resident Evil, except it's this giant fighting game played on a 2D plane except you fly all over the place

Well, it's like proto-Sparking series of games actually. Moving up and down and doing fist and kick barrages by mashing one button.

Re: Tips for someone new to Dragon Ball Z: Legends.
To update on my experience with Legends, I just got my Memory Card Plus in which is supposed to override the region lock. It did, but as soon as I pressed the start button on the title screen, it just went to a black screen. I rebooted my Saturn, and now it refuses to play the game, despite the Memory Card Plus being in there. Kinda infuriating. Any tips on how to get this to work?
