Dragonball toonami Fanboys on Twitter

Post by orangebrick94 » Sun Mar 31, 2013 11:15 am

I am a frequent user of twitter when Toonami is on too tweet the hashtag for each show.Currently most of the Toonami community is insulted by these so called Dbz fans who know nothing of sorts about the show and say crap like Toonami is nothing withought DBZ.They even go as far as insulting Toonami founder Jason Demarco and he even said he'd probally have it on the block if Nicktoons didn't own the broadcasting rights. Also my biggest complaint is it has turned so many people against us real Dragonball fans and now you have jerks saying Dragonball sucks because of it's fanbase. I try explaining to people that not all of us are idiots but it doesn't seem to do any good.Whats your guy's take on these so called immature Dbz fans who no nothing of sorts about the show insulting everyone? And whats your guy's take on people turning against us just because we love the Dragonball franchise? One Moron went as far as saying Dragonball Z and Yu YU Hakusho had the same voices in the Funimation dub because(As he put it)It's basically the same thing.(Ya let that sink in)

So engage with people that you get along with, instead, and prove a point by being a better person.

I think those people are idiots that spam those pages. I think it's wrong that people judge other US fans by the deeds of the Youtube community and places. not all of the US fans are idiots and uninformed. that's why I love this site. because the community is awesome, everything usually stays right on track. sure we all disagree on things every now and then and that's okay! :)

The Dragonboxes are like a middle aged woman who still looks good through simply taking good care of her skin and body with maybe a tiny bit of makeup while the Orange Bricks are like a middle aged woman who get's 50 tons of botox, makeup and plastic surgery in order to look younger and as a result looks even worse. ~ ringworm128
Still recording Toonami broadcasts on VHS after all these years!

Then you need to prune your lists. Don't bother with hashtags and searches that give you discussions you're not interested in, unfollow people you don't get along with and will never be able to compromise with, and enjoy the rest of your stay here.

It's something you have to accept, because it's always been there, and it's never going to go away. Dragon Ball is a kids' series, so a large portion of its fans are going to be young. And young people have a tendency to act like idiots on the Internet. And if there's one reason (besides dub vs. sub arguments) that give Dragon Ball fans a bad name, it's because of that. But Dragon Ball fans have always had a bad reputation. Like Mike said, if it bothers you, don't read it. And on the more positive note, just always keep them in mind and make sure you set a good example in your own fandom, and, hopefully others will see your example and follow suit!
Do you follow the most comprehensive and entertaining Dragon Ball analysis series on YouTube? If you do, you're smart and awesome and fairly attractive. If not, see what all the fuss is about without even having to leave Kanzenshuu:

I will have to totally agree with the people on twitter saying that toonami isnt toonami unless it has a dragon ball series involved. Its the truth, Its liturally what MADE toonami so popular. Viewer ratings went sky high with dragon ball z and after that they fell hard. Its a fact. I couldn't care less for the so called "toonami" that is currently aired on Saturday nights but if DB was involved i would watch it. Along with a million others that would too.

When exactly did DBZ end? Because if it's around late 2003-early 2004 then I don't think that's why Toonami would've had plummeting ratings. Around that time was when Toonami moved exclusively to Saturday nights. Toonami wasn't popular solely because of its shows, but also because of its timeslot.

Actually, I'll enlighten you guys. There ARE casual viewers who do tweet every so often complaining that DBZ isn't on the block.
The flame wars are actually started by those "Dragon Ball Twitter Role Players", very much like the whole "NEW DBZ!?" rumor started.
Yes, they're annoying and a pain in the butt, but its best to ignore them.

These type of fans annoyed me. It's bad enough people on Facebook are posting this and I tell them that it's a fake. I don't want why some fanboys want 200 episodes of a show so badly. The biggest problem with the original DBZ anime was it's placing and Kai improve it.
