"Budokai Tenkaichi 2" Listing @ Ruliweb

Post by Nyoibo » Wed Apr 12, 2006 4:04 am

Just to let you know that at Ruliweb.com they've posted a list of the known PlayStation 3 titles in development and Budokai Tenkaichi 2 is one of them...

Ruliweb.com is a pretty reliable source. For example, they post videos of Dragon Ball games way before anywhere else...

Anyways, here's the link:

http://ruliweb.dreamwiz.com/ruliboard/r ... ft=b&time=

EDIT - Just noted that this article was posted on the 30th of January. I don't know how I didn't see it before.

 DIGIMON WORLD ONLINE?!

:o So...there is going to be a Sparking! sequel, eh? But...I have my doubts. If this is a Japanese website, why would they call it Budokai Tenkaichi instead of it's Japanese name, Sparking?
I really, really need to get back into the habit of posting.

It depends on their source. If they got the news from ATARI (who spill their beans out quite easily) then they'll have it listed as Budokai Tenkaichi.

Not to get too off-topic (just a comment on the reliabilty of the site), but they have God of War II down, when it's actually a PS2 game, not PS3.

Although, since the only thing we should be concerned about on this board is Budokai Tenkaichi 2, yeah, it seems to be confirmed for PS3 (after checking a few other mentions of the game on other sites). :P

Well God of War 2 was indeed being planned to be released on PS3 first, but then the developers decided that it's better to release the game on a tried and tested format - with familiar hardware...

At least we can assume that Sparking! 2 is indeed being developed. We'll know more at E3.

::Crosses fingers in hopes for in-game level-ups::

Looks cool. I only just tried Sparking! 1 recently. Sequel should be interesting.

...Hey, can you just imagine how good this will look on PS3? Imagine the huge ki attacks, auras, explosions, landscapes, exploding landscapes, etc...

I'd prefer seeing that in a Budokai game rather than a Sparking! Well if they make the next Sparking! more like Budokai 3 then I'll be a happy chap.

:P I love Sparking! more than any of the Budokai series, so if this is true, I'll be a happy Saiyajin. That is...if I can afford the PS3 after buying my Nintendo Revolution.

I was only talking in terms of looks, especially graphics. But still, yeah, the more Budokai-3-ish it is, the better.

I'm surprised to be hearing about a DragonBall Z game for the PS3 already. I'm hoping that it's going to get a much longer development time, so we can have something close to the ultimate DragonBall game.

This is great news. I liked Sparking!, but I know there was a lot they could have done better. Hopefully with the longer development time, some lessons learned from the last game, and the power of the PS3, we'll get the best DBZ game to date. Hopefully..

The Japanese version will probably be called "Dragon Ball Z: NO-TEN P-KAN" or something.
Battle High 2, starring Kyle Hebert as well as myself, has been released on Xbox 360, OUYA, PC, Linux, Mac, and Xbox One!

I'm all set! My father and I were planning on getting a PS3; this is just more reason to get it.

I thought about all the capabilities the PS3 would do with a DBZ game...I pretty much orgasmed myself.
Even I became a loser when I made one of these...

Its going to be on the PS3?
I'd prefer to see a Budoukai 4 as I enjoyed Budoukai 3 to Sparking, but...PS3! :3
On hiatus.

Do you want to know what I'd really like to see on a PS3 Sparking! title? A 2 v.s 2 multiplayer mode. It's pretty possible to do. Then the cherry on top would be real time fusion. The players on the same team fuse and one of them takes control of the fused character. That's what we need to put life back into DB games - innovation.

Dammit, the PS3? :( The region free bit'll be nice, so I won't have to worry about modding the console should I import the game.

But damn..PS3's not only to be expensive as hell, but I'm still not digging its look or the lack of anything decent on its list of titles.

This is Shin Budokai all over again for me, in a way. :(

There are a lot of announced sequels like Killzone, MGS4, FFXIII, Medal of Honour and lots more.

I hope developers use backwards compatibility and PS2 - PSP combinations in more novel ways. Why don't they let you unlock characters/arenas/artwork/posters/anything DB by letting PS3 read PSP gamesaves or by popping in an old DB game DVD when prompted?
