I'm pretty much able to hear either for most of the cast, though sometimes a character will make a particular face that brings one version to mind more than the other. Goku gets quite a few of them actually, faces that even in the dub I could never quite hear Schemmel's voice fitting with it. Having heard Nozawa more now, I like to think of them as 'Nozawa faces', because even the art just brings her voice to mind for me.

Am I weird for always hearing Nappa with his Ocean voice? I watched Funi's Saiyan Saga and I didn't mind the other changes but Nappa was just off for me...

And I will always hear Eighteen as McCoy and Kid Goku as Nadolny.

Generally speaking, the Funimation cast. They're who I grew up with, and I can't not associate them with the characters, regardless of how I feel about the dub in terms of quality. Though sometimes I think of the TFS cast, especially if a DBZA joke comes to mind when I see the picture/whatever makes me think of the voice.

Is it weird that when I read the Manga I imagine them talking with the voices from Funimation's Z Kai dub, but as soon as the fighting starts I imagine all of the Japanese VAs for the grunts and yelling?

Basically the Kai dub voices for everyone but Freeza. I don't know why, but I always associate him with his abridged series voice. I also usually associate Cooler and Turles with their abridged voices.

As for me, when I see an image of Dragon Ball, I always hear the Japanese voices first and foremost in my mind. If I'm reading the manga, it's weird... I'll sometimes try to imagine the Japanese voices speaking English. Especially Masako Nozawa or Joji Yanami... I can't separate the two. Nozawa and Yanami are the voices of Dragon Ball in my opinion. Kind of like how Chris Sabat is the voice of FUNimation, he's like their Don LaFontaine. :D

Both the Japanese voices and the Portuguese. It kinda depends on the scene. Sometimes I even mix them :D

I flashback to the Ocean cast a bit when I read the Saiyan arc, but otherwise it's all just Japanese phrases in my mind now. Yamino!!

As much as I would love the all the Japanese cast to be the immediate voices, some dub actors/actresses come to mind. Though over time, I'd imagine I'd hear just the original cast.
