Re: The Chōzenshū databook thread: speculation, discussion,
The "Library of Adventure" sections have all been printed in one shot, as "Design Library". They do something similar for GT in the front of the book.
The "All Story Digest" pages from the third, fifth, and supplemental Daizenshuu are also present and accounted for, plus a new section in the same format for GT.
Only one "Variety of DB" page made it through intact this time, from the Supplemental Daizenshuu. It shows Toriyama's redesigns of the Red Ribbon Army for the 10th Anniversary film. The "Next Movie" page from Daizenshuu 6 that showed conceptual art with different character designs has been omitted.
There are no "memorial" pages whatsoever.

So, Julian...anything good from the new material at first glance?
Just curious if I should be getting my hopes up waiting for translations of new info, or if they just reprinted what we already know (most specifically in regards to Battle of Gods)...

Re: The Chōzenshū databook thread: speculation, discussion,
I decided to go to Kinokuniya in New York today and was shocked to see the chozenshu on display! Here's all you need to know!
Cover: Daizenshuu 6
Poster: Toriyama's Battle of Gods cast/GT character chart
Dragon Ball GT Story Guide: Each page has 3 acts. No new illustrations, however. Everything is just screenshots.
GT Super Column 1: GT TV special with 3 acts and small character descriptions
GT Characters: Most major characters get their own page with enemies pages having
their accomplices (like No. 17 with Gero, Freeza, and Cell)
GT Design Library: 5 pages
GT Super Column 2: Toriyama image boards
Battle of Gods: 5 pages with only screenshots, no new illustrations
Daizenshuu 6 movie pages, Gallery of Toriyama
"Perfect Note:" 10th anniversary special pages (reprint)
DB, DBZ & Movies Design Library
All Story Digest with new GT episode listings
Daizenshuu 6 interview: there might be something else because it says "genten, soshite mirai e..." and then has a box with text
I especially like that the "All Story Digest" pages are consistent. I'm sad to read that there's still somethings missing!

An interviewer asks, "The soundtrack in Sonic 3 has become legendary. Is it true that you worked with Michael Jackson on it?" Takashi Iizuka kills all of our hopes and dreams by replying, "You know, those are just rumors, and SEGA does not want to say anything about them. So they will forever be just rumors..." WHY!?

Just a guess, how long do you guys think the Chozenshu will be in print?

For the GT character section does it include the different forms for Baby, Rilldo, and the Shadow Dragons.

Re: The Chōzenshū databook thread: speculation, discussion,
Yes because the daizenshuu are out of print, and Animation Guide Part 2 omitted it for obvious reasons. I hope they'll at least include the sketches in the Chogashu. While on the subject of including things in future releases, does anyone see those Variety pages like the techniques and movie encyclopedia being thrown into the encyclopedia volume?JeffJarrett wrote:You that image without having to buy the book??DBZfan29 wrote:Does anyone have a high quality scan of this page? I forgot to ask in the "Design Library" does it character sheets for Kid Buu, Bibidi, the three Supreme Kais and the Grand Supreme Kai, and the Giant Worms that appeared in Super Buu's stomach. I know in Daizenshu 5 it was mentioned in the next time section, but were never covered in the Supplemental Daizenshu.

The page was still set to "Private" from when we were working on it. All fully live now, though.

Nice.
Question, does it say anything about Gohan & Vegeta being Super Saiyan 2 in the GT Characters section?
