The more pictures I see of SSJG, the more pink it looks. I wish they would have kept the design closer to original artwork we saw, with the hair looking redish brown.

I like the pink hair (I think it's cute) but I can definitely see how it may turn some off. I don't think anyone was expecting Goku's ssjg hair to be that color.

Now I want to see yakuza!Yamcha in addition to host-club!Yamcha. XD

"Eternal rivals". X3 That is unusually poetic for Goku and Vegeta. I like it. I'm not sure if I can imagine one of them telling the other that he's his "eternal rival". XD How does each one react to that?

Being involved with the yakuza could explain his mysterious scars...
Now I'm combining both the host club and yakuza versions of Yamcha into one...hmm, I wonder if such a thing as a yakuza host club exists? A bunch of surly guys yelling at girls as they take their orders...it could work

I can imagine that Vegeta might find the title of "eternal rival" too flowery. "It...it's not like I want to be your rival forever or anything!" *blush* Tsundere Vegeta

So much yes to Yamcha working at the Yakuza Host Club.
That would explain why he got fired; his personality just isn't the yakuza type. His customers would complain that he's not convincing enough, or that he's too nice. XD *Imagines Yamcha trying to be surly to a customer, then feeling awful and immediately apologizing to them--which only upsets them instead.*


It is too flowery, I can't imagine either of them coming up with title. XD

A few years ago, how would you guys have reacted if someone told you that in the next Dragon Ball movie Goku would achieve his ultimate form, which would make him skinny and give him pink hair and pink "anime eyes", and that he would use this form to battle a purple cat?

I really want to like it, but the more I think about it, the more I feel like I'm being trolled.

I'm not sure I would've believed it without any actual proof.
If the person did have proof though...I actually don't think I'd have enjoyed it as much as I do now. I would've been kinda "huh?" and disappointed that it was Goku who got it. That's why I'm so happy this movie happened now instead of several years back. As my character preferences are today, I'm thrilled Goku got it. I'm all "This is a real, official power-up? Cute!!" about it now.
Though I didn't really fall for the power-up until I got a chance to draw ssjg Goku fanart of my own.

With the way Toriyama never really made it clear, yeah, I can see that being the case. Other than the time he had Gokuu show off all the transformations to Babidi and Majin Boo Toriyama never seemed to clearly know what he was doing or not. "What, there's barely any change!" That would go to help explain why Toriyama forgot about the form. This always seems to carry over to Toei's projects, too...

Yeah. Many people have suggested this in the past, but ever since Toriyama mentioned that he thought the long-haired form was Super Saiyan 2, I've felt more and more like Goku casually labelling the sparky form as such was arbitrary--just a way to lead into a form stronger than it. There's also the fact that he quite often draws the regular Super Saiyan form with sparks these days.

I mean, arbitrary names are fine--I don't think we should all stop calling the sparky form Super Saiyan 2 or anything like that--but it does make me think about it a little differently.

Pretty much. Knowing what I know now, it feels as if "SSJ2" was Gohan's "true SSJ1," since it was achieved by Gohan accessing the full power of all his rage. Thus, for anyone who doesn't have as much rage potential as Gohan SSJ2 would just be "SSJ1+Some more training and experience." SSJ1, LSSJ, SSJ3, SSJG, and SSJ4 seem to be legit SSJ forms, though. SSJ2 is just something that probably should've been a Gohan-exclusive thing.

Reminds me of how Dragon Ball SD handled it. SS2 Gohan was just Super Saiyan Gohan when he powered up to fight. I thought it was neat.

I feel like I've read somewhere on Kanzenshuu that several of their Japanese voice actors were briefly in a band together (Piccolo, Yamcha, and Tenshinhan? There was a fourth one too, but I can't remember; he wasn't a part of the main cast.).

What I think that screenshot is, is one of those mental pictures Goku has (along with the crying Chi-Chi who also has no background behind her) right before he almost passes out and instead powers-up into his new ssjg form on his own for a brief final effort against Beerus.

If this theory does turn out true, I guess I can chalk those expressions on their faces up to "Well, Goku's imagination is Goku's imagination." but the expression on Piccolo's (and partly Vegeta's) faces ruins the genuine fear on everyone elses and leaves the shot looking unintentionally funny.


I think Senbei's cameo is an easter egg. X3

Most of the characters have text describing them as the "strongest xxx". Bulma is the Earth's strongest wife (err, Chichi might have something to say about that). Yamcha's title is "strongest bro" (yeah, I'm kinda taking "aniki" in the yakuza way here. For the LOLz.). Chaozu is the strongest partner to Tenshinhan (is that the best you can do, Chaozu? Be the strongest out of a group of...one? ) Oolong has the strongest love for panties. And Ox King has the...strongest bigness? Man, they're kinda stretching on some of these to make them fit into categories of "strongest".

Oh, this sounded really interesting (and also odd). What are the other "strongest" titles given?
