Because that boxset would be hella expensive and probably wouldn't sell well.Hellspawn28 wrote:I'm surprise Funi didn't put all of the orange bricks into one big boxset yet.
Why does FUNimation call it Dragon Ball "seasons"?

It would be a lot of money, but other shows had a complete box set and still did well.

Like what? I'm not sure there are nearly 300-episode series out there with "Complete Series" box sets.Hellspawn28 wrote:It would be a lot of money, but other shows had a complete box set and still did well.

Star Trek: The Next Generation and the G1 Transformers were able to put all of the DVD's into a single box set then I don't see why Funi can't do the same for DBZ?

It's about retailer shelf space and price points.Hellspawn28 wrote:Star Trek: The Next Generation and the G1 Transformers were able to put all of the DVD's into a single box set then I don't see why Funi can't do the same for DBZ?
The biggest truths aren't original. The truth is ketchup. It's Jim Belushi. Its job isn't to blow our minds. It's to be within reach.

Madman was able to put the entire orange brick collection into one boxset, so it's definitely possible.

This is what separates Kanzenshuu from other DB sites and always will.. thanks for the link. My nostalgia is exploding and that interview was really very interesting.Gaffer Tape wrote:I'd say Chris Psaros was more responsible for attempting to lift up Dragon Ball to the status of a revered work of art, comparable to the films of Miyazaki, than he was for making it a dark and brooding Spawn-like story.
As for the presence of DBZ Uncensored folk, Psaros has not been active in Dragon Ball for many years. One of our members, Castor Troy, has been kind enough to host the site on his own website (http://dbzu.3gkai.com) and even managed to contribute a new piece of content: an interview with Psaros 10 years after he closed down the site.
Aside from that, user GS7X7 was one of the members of the DBZ Otaku Alliance, the site that hosted DBZ Uncensored immediately after it closed down, as well as one of the contributors to DBZ Uncensored 2, a sequel site hosted on the DBZOA, which attempted to continue where Psaros left off.
