Hmm...I don't think so. From what I remember, Vegeta got smacked away, Trunks freaked, and jumped up and made Goten fuse with him. After that, Vegeta was mostly relegated to shielding the other people in the building he got thrown through.

You know, I'm having a friend of mine translate the DBO timeline directly from Korean (full topic coming soon), and there are some interesting tidbits that got lost from the Korean to Japanese to English translation. The one most relevant to this specific thread being that, apparently, when Freeza's forces invaded Earth in AGE 820 (after Goku, Vegeta and Satan have died), the "heroes of the past" put on Saiyaman-like disguises to hide their identities from the public...perhaps Piccolo did officially don a Saiyaman uniform, though perhaps not Gohan's. lol

All the characters listed aren't necessarily the only ones who helped to fight them off, it's very probable that others like Piccolo, Yamcha, Uub, Buu and maybe even Chaozu joined in to help against a literal world-wide invasion. Here's the unprettified version of the new entry:
