Which Ki attack do you dislike the most?

Since we have one on preferred, I had to ask other people which ki attack they liked the least.

For me it would be Trunks/Gotenks' big tree canon. I appreciate that it was sort of like Vegeta's Final flash but it just didn't have the same appeal to me. And in certain video games it took so long to charge with poor results....

The Genki Dama. It always struck me as a Deus ex Machina, except 2/3 times it didn't work. Except in the movies, and that got old really fast. And there's nothing exciting or flashy about watching Goku stand with his arms in the air for an ungodly amount of time, begging people, planets, plants, animals, and other for energy.

You mean this wiki?

It's actually just a compilation of generic ki blasts, not a specific technique.

Personally, I can't find a single ki based technique that I don't like. I will say, however, that I'm not a huge fan of the Dodompa (though I still like it).

So, I had to look up "Big Tree Cannon" and wow, what a colossal fuck-up translating "Victory Cannon" that turned out to be. It's one thing that it's just wrong, but they applied the wrong name to the wrong attack; "Victory Cannon" is Gotenks's mouth blast. I don't even know if the move that we are calling "Big Tree Cannon" actually has a name. Was it FUNimation or DB Wiki that screwed the pooch on this?

Uh... I guess Masenkoha. The hand gesture isn't very exciting and it belongs to Gohan. I don't actively dislike it, though.

It's funny I didn't know WHAT the actual japanese name was unlike all of the other attacks. In the videogames I see it as "double buster, and big tree canon". If anyone could shed some light on the name I'd love to know. If there was a differentiation between the two attacks it was lost in the videogames.

Repeat for several minutes before the all-powerful sadistic tyrant actually decides to attack again. It's so nice of him to relent on his offensive for the first time since he started fighting.

I have to agree with the Genki Dama kinda sucking. Not only is it a "slow" technique on the show where doing anything takes a very long time, I just can't believe it is an attack that would work in a fight.

"Hold on let me put my arms up for 10 minutes! Don't attack me!"

It just seemed so lackluster after the awesome-sauce that was the Kaio-Ken, as well.

Yeah, not a fan of the Genki Dama, but at least the tension of gathering it (at least on Namek and againt Vegeta) normally outweighs the stupidity of people letting it be gathered.

I think it was the video games that did it. I know the name's used in Budokai Tenkaichi 3, at least. And yeah, I always figured it was a weird mistranslation of Victory Cannon, since the other name makes no sense, even for Gotenks. (If it was named after a dessert I'd understand, since he has a bunch of those already, but... "big tree?")
