The Playdia game/"OVA"...plotholes?

Post by Thanos6 » Sun Apr 16, 2006 9:00 pm

OK, so Dr. Raichi's computer Hatchhyack, drawing on the leftover psychic energies of everyone who hates Saiyans, is able to resurrect/recreate (not sure) Freeza, Coola, Slug, and Turles, along with Raichi himself, all of whom keep coming back after being killed. Got it.

Here's what I don't get. After our heroes have killed the resurrected villains about ten times, Kaio-sama tells them they're ghost warriors, and suddenly the next time they die they stay dead. Why?

Then the heroes head off to Dr. Raichi's Dark Planet. They know he's a ghost warrior right from the start. Goku kills him, but he comes back. Vegeta kills him again, and this time he stays dead. Why?

The extra hate Raichi contributes to Hatchhyack overloads it, so it transforms itself into a giant fighting robot (stronger than Broli, according to Goku). The dialogue is a bit hazy, but apparently it also begins warping space. Why?

If anyone knows the answers--or knows that there are no answers--please help. Thanks.

I'm inclined to say it's just nonsense video game logic. Whatever weirdness in there most likely exist for game playing reason, as opposed to story reasoning or logic(Er... in Dragonball? :P ). Really, most video games aren't known for in-depth plotting or storytelling.

I said "most", didn't I? Most games seen statesides are the action-adventure types, and don't really have that great a level to plotting(though admittly, I don't really think of games as my first choice to look for plotting/storytelling...).

It's one thing to have a story that's not very in-depth or complex, but it's another to have a story that makes no sense or has no logic. :P
