My point is that you can say pretty much anything about anything. Make something up. Make a statement that's never been contradicted. You can go ANYWHERE with that, but that really doesn't accomplish anything.

I completely agree Mike.

Re-reading that blog post reminds me of the time when Mike voiced Appule in TFS.
From the 2 ch thread: I have two links to news articles posted today (looks like the same story written by different people) relating to Nozawa and the movie.

Opinion based on some known facts =/. Where do you get your opinion that SSJ4 is stronger than SSG? Off of your own opinion that they retconned the power of a known manga character under a not made by AT anime one.DBZGTKOSDH wrote:They are ignoring GT & put stuff in the manga continuity because the movie takes place before GT & during the manga time-frame. I think Goku at the end of GT would then be like AW YEA TIME TO GO REMATCH WITH BILS AND WHIS.
Just curious... Why do you have Appule as an example all the time?VegettoEX wrote:It's also never stated that Appule is not a carpenter.

The statement about Vegetto > SS4 was NOT in the manga (duh!). It was in a section of the GT TV Special Animation Comic. And he wasn't stated to be stronger than a Super Saiyan 4. He was said to be perhaps stronger than a Super Saiyan 4, meaning that maybe he is, but maybe he is not. IMO, BoG proves that he is not.Draken wrote:Opinion based on some known facts =/. In GT, base Goku could fight evenly with Oob, who should be stronger than Pure Boo, he fought evenly with base Rild, who was stated by Goku to have power greater than Majin Boo's, he defeated SS Gohan & SS Goten together, and easily, and he was literally playing with Freeza & Cell. And yes, all of these in base. Could base Goku (post-SSG) do the same thing? Yes. Is it possible for GT Goku to be as strong, or even stronger than Goku (post-SSG)? Yes. So, yeah, it seems that SS4 Goku is stronger than SSG Goku.

Well that's your opinion, I've told you mine. No one ever said Uub was as strong as Buu anyhow, he might be a reincarnation but maybe he's a weaker version. After all he's def not a pure evil pink gummy ball of... something.DBZGTKOSDH wrote:The statement about Vegetto > SS4 was NOT in the manga (duh!). At the 28th Tenkaichi Budokai, Goku expected Oob to be as strong as Boo, and later he confirmed that he was exactly as strong as he expected him. And GT is set 5 years later, and during those 5 years, Oob was training with Goku. So, he should be stronger than Boo.

I'm pretty sure Kid Uub with no control over his ki or any fighting sense whatsoever was as strong as Kid Buu =/. Maybe that is his maximum potential, but not at the tournament...DBZGTKOSDH wrote:At the 28th Tenkaichi Budokai, Goku expected Oob to be as strong as Boo, and later he confirmed that he was exactly as strong as he expected him. Oob could use his true power only when he was angry. Goku made Oob angry, tested him, and Oob met Goku's expectations.

Edit: To be even more clear. If Goku was truly as strong as GT portrayed him at the 28th Budokai Tenkaichi, then even in base form he should have had no qualms whatsoever about fighting a lowly Buu level opponent. ESPECIALLY if, as you say, he is already a god with powers absorbed at that point.

No, Goku said that he wanted to fight him at full strength. When Satan asked him to let him win, but Goku said that there is someone else that could reach the finals.

Base is Goku's full strength now? Also stamina isn't exactly strength.DBZGTKOSDH wrote:No, Goku said that he wanted to fight him at full strength. When Satan asked him to let him win, but Goku said that there is someone else that could reach the finals.

Goku didn't go beyond base because he didn't keep fighting, since Oob needed training so that he could control his power, and learn to use ki. Oob had the power, but couldn't use it properly.

Sorry, don't want to mini-mod but would you guys mind cutting that out? You're cluttering the thread with that nonsense and it's off-topic, to boot (no, talking about SSG doesn't make it on-topic since you spent most of the conversation talking about GT, Vegetto and SSJ4).
No one related to the movie talked about GT whatsoever. The only mention was by a fan to Watanabe and he didn't address it. As said multiple times, you can choose your personal canon and if you want GT to fit, make it fit. No one said it does or it doesn't. If the majority of this conversation is between you two, that's a hint that you don't need to discuss it for everyone to see in a thread meant to discuss this movie. You could open a new thread about it or take it to PM.
Also, remember that 99% of us haven't seen the movie and don't fully understand SSG or Goku in base after it. While it might be fun to speculate, extending this 600+ thread with guesses is uncalled for.

He did. Oob unleashed his power when he got mad, and went full power when he threw the Kiai on Goku (D7 stated that he raised his power by throwing the Kiai). Oob was strong, but he could get that strong only when he was mad, and on top of that, he didn't even know how to fight. He had no idea about ki. So, while Oob met Goku's expectations about his power (he was as strong as Pure Boo), Goku had to train him first, to teach him how to control his power, and how to use ki. So that in the end, they could have an awesome fight together.Draken wrote:You just said when he got mad he used his full power
