Drandosk Power Levels

Post by TheMightyOzaru » Sun Apr 21, 2013 2:28 pm

This should probably go in the official unofficial power levels thread but I feel this deserves it's own thread.
Saiyajin Arc: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JQ_LgA5cMn4
Namek Arc: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vgNHREWmn44
Ginyu Arc: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1y-FYUin5ko
Freeza Arc: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t_CdHnJkHhQ
Garlic and Trunks Arc: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kqurIkP_PIA
Android Arc: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=saxJeYVYJSg
Cell Arc: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bU2SAHArd0s
World Tournament Arc: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_IX87yocS4U
Majin Buu Arc: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PRxsOMEx280
Kid Buu Arc: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=22biRHWbZmc
I don't agree with all of these but I thought these were a damn fine attempt.

This is another one of those lists that ignores too many official numbers for me to take it seriously. Why does this deserve its own thread?

He's probably referring to the Bardock special. Zarbon was the one who first recommended destroying Planet Vegeta because the saiyans were rapidly growing in strength.
It was actually Beerus disguised as Zarbon #StayWoke
Herms wrote:The fact that the ridiculous power inflation is presented so earnestly makes me just roll my eyes and snicker. Like with Freeza, where he starts off over 10 times stronger than all his henchmen except Ginyu (because...well, just because), then we find out he can transform and get even more powerful, and then he reveals he can transform two more times, before finally coming out with the fact that he hasn't even been using anywhere near 50% of his power. Oh, and he can survive in the vacuum of space. All this stuff is just presented as the way Freeza is, without even an attempt at rationalizing it, yet the tone dictates we're supposed to take all this silly grasping at straws as thrilling danger. So I guess I don't really take the power inflation in the Boo arc seriously, but I don't take the power inflation in earlier arcs seriously either, so there's no net loss of seriousness. I think a silly story presented as serious is harder to accept than a silly story presented as silly.

It's a rather hefty amount of levels. The only levels that I noticed he ignored were Freeza's half and full power, Raditz's 1,500, and Vegeta's 250,000 after his fight with the Ginyu Force.

Raditz's, Nappa's, Piccolo's (Saiyan Saga), Dodoria's, Zarbon's, Frieza's, and Vegeta's were all ignored.

A fairly small amount in the big picture.

Funny because all of those (apart from Freeza and his henchmen maybe) have controversial 'official' pls. For example, Piccolo said enraged Gohan was stronger than himself (which certainly seemed the case in the manga) yet the official figure has Piccolo waaaaaay stronger.

Even though I don't really give that shit about Battle Powers, I found these videos pretty entertaining! Thanks for sharing this! :)

Enraged Gohan isn't always going to be the same strength, though. Maybe he was only 2,800 for that Masenko, but later when he was fighting Vegeta while enraged he went over 3,500?
I'm re-watching Dragon Ball GT in full on my blog. Check it out if you're interested in my thoughts on the series as I watch through it!
