Mike Smith finally posting music :)

Post by cRookie_Monster » Mon Mar 04, 2013 2:20 am

He's been promising for yeaaaarrrrsssss.... but finally just started posting music from just after he left Faulconer Productions.

Here's some posts from him about it from Facebook:
Here's what I was considering doing - I have a dozen or so tunes that I recorded post-faulconer. I am thinking that I will post these with some sort of boilerplate image on my youtube channel...maybe one a week,

...

different styles. a few things that I post may harken to the DBZ soundtrack, but others may not. Some of them even have me singing (watch out!) on them.
In general, they were not written with DBZ in mind.
...

yes, I figure that if I have a dozen existing recordings, and I post 1 a week, that will give me about 3 months to get the studio back into working order (it's almost there now, just need a few key pieces of equipment). Them I can continue on a weekly schedule with new recordings.
So yeah like I mentioned earlier, I typically was toning my heaviness down for DBZ, Mike was boosting his heaviness up. This is more like I pictured he would sound like if left to his own devices :) He was really fond of his Gohan and Icarus piece for instance. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0bAofAOUAo0 In fact the album version is the only track that I know of that was extended specially for the CD.

yayyyyyyyy!! :)

Not the same synths as DBZ but I think you might hear a very similar composing style in this one.
