The movie has now made $26.5 million. It made $2.9 million in the past week. In Yen it's made 2.64 billion.

It should pass 3 billion yen on it's final weekend which is golden week where films usually see a big boost from the previous week.

Same here, my video of the battle between SSj3 Goku VS Beers was "blocked worldwide". Well, I can say that the video managed to stay available for far longer than I thought it would. I deleted it, just in case...

Maybe this means increased chances for international releases? I mean, if they're actually bothering to hunt this stuff down now...(though I thought the fact that the movie in its entirety never got leaked said something about the level of security already.).

Yeah, he refers to Dragon Ball Z's audience in general. The series was shown in 40-plus countries around the world.

That's certainly a valid analysis of it. Thing is, like we mentioned in our news post, he very specifically does not use a present-tense explanation (or past-tense, for that matter), and the word for "showing" is the one specifically used to describe theatrical film showings -- pretty sure DBZ films have not been screened in 40 countries.

That's all hyper-insane analysis of the phrasing which probably shouldn't be read into that much, but eh. That's what we do!

I'd find it hilarious if they started screening the older Dragon Ball films internationally and never released Battle of Gods outside Japan.

This is off the current topic that you guys are talking about but (except you guys and some friends and DBZ-fanartists) most americans and europeans I know or I've seen appear on youtube, facebook, twitter, etc, all still think Vegeta goes SSJ3 and Goku's SSJG is a golden SSJ4. And I've seen some people actually be serious and make topics on a "new series of DBZ".. I'm not sure whether to find this extremely hilarious or worrying.
