No, that was just the fact that one side was mirrored and one side wasn't.

All in all, this was really cool. I can't believe that woman missed that really obvious question.

I love the new animation! This is what I'd like to see on a Neko Majin Z series.
On hiatus.

As far as Dragonball goes... It doesn't get any better than that nowadays! I'm blown away! Thanks a TON for sharing this with us all! :D

I've always hoped for a remake that is more faithful to the manga... Even if it is wishful thinking...

Friggin' amazing.

Though I found it odd when they played Navras when talking about the One Piece crew.

It would be cool if, with the modern style of animation, Toei were to create feature-length films that recap the entire series as to cut down on the "let's stare at each other forever" aspect.

There's really no need for a translation. You can right off the bat tell the contestants are pointing out the differences between the mirrored screens.

But you hear them say things about Goku, and Dragonball Z, outside of the boundaries of the contest at hand.

I'd like to know what they're saying. Perhaps "Oooh, I like Dragonball Z!" or "I loved Dragonball Z."

Their little comments make me curious, as does the conversation between Goku and Freeza.

I demand a full translation!

「おっす!オラ悟空!みんな、待たせたな。『IQミラー』で...オラと勝負だ」
"Ossu! Ora Goku! Minna, mataseta na. IQ Mirror de...ora to shoubu da!"
"Hey! I'm Goku! Did I keep everyone waiting? I challenge you to [a game of] 'IQ Mirror'!"

Meh, I'm so tired I can't even hear straight. (Wait, that makes no sense x__O)

The only thing said about Dragonball off-hand from one of the contestants was:

「絶対ドラゴンボールとモヤっとボールの違いがあるはずやからな!」
"Zettai Dragon Ball to Moyatto Ball no chigai ga aru hazu ya kara na"
"There's absolutely a difference between the Dragonballs and the Moyatto-balls!"

Moyatto-balls are the green Koosh-looking things. (You can see one in the frame in which Freeza is charging up his "Death Ball.")

I would do the rest, but maybe after I catch some winks and my brain is functioning at a proper level.

I didn't see anyone else remark on this, but I'm pretty sure from the sound of it that the first announcer that was talking about the prizes, was Toshio Furukawa(Piccolo).
Jerseymilk: "Can I tell you something?"
B-kun: "What?"
Jerseymilk: "I see Fangirls."

Definitely sounds like it.

Also, I'm coining a new term: "drinking the Cocktail of Shame."

(Still trying to figure out why they would want the translated tankobon as prizes, but oh well)

Just as some English speakers are infatuated with Japanese, so are some Japanese infatuated with English. That's why we have Engrish, afterall ;p

I didn't mention this in my inital post?

*Looks* Guess not. Sorry, that was one of the first things I wanted to mention.

"Alright, I'll be handling the narration from now on."
声:古川登志夫 *Voice: Furukawa Toshio*

Well, since I won't go into the narration for the moment. Here is that dialogue between Freeza and Goku.

"Heh heh heh. Now my wish shall be fufilled. Come forth! Shenlong! Grant me the power of eternal li..."
「ふふふ、これで私のお願いかないます。い出よ!シェンロン!私に永遠の命を...」

"Freeza!"
「フリーザー!!」

"I won't let your desires come true!"

"Heh heh heh. So you've finally shown yourself, have you..."
「ふふふ、とうとう現れましたね...」

"Come and get me if you please."
「かかってきなさい」

Woah, cool new animation ! I'm sure other people noticed this before me, but I just saw in the footage that Vegeta, Piccolo, Gohan, and even Krillin were lying down on the battle field. At first, I thought that the close up of Krillin's head was a dirty DragonBall until I hit pause . The incredible 5 second transformation from first to last Freeza form was kinda weird, but cool nevertheless.
Eclipse wrote:What they could do is release the anime again, with the new animation, yet use the stock audio from a decade ago, if they still have it. It's the same DBZ, just new animation, same voice actors, same music. It would require very little intervention from the voice actors (they just need their permission), and associated parties.
That makes sense. They just better make sure that the new animation gets done like those game show clips were.

Yeah, I know. Freeza's transformations remind me of how they transform in the budokai series.

I was also hoping for a re-make of DBZ. Just DBZ. Not DB and not GT. A short 40-50 episode remake of DBZ, with the characters acting more maturely, and less kiddie stuff (you know, a Cowboy Bebop-style DBZ). I mean, can you imagine battles like that we just saw in that clip, with a cast of characters who don't act so stereotype; for example, a Freeza that the writers of the show would portrait in a way that would make him more understandable to the crowd (what drives him, what are his main issues with the universe, etc.)

AND FOR GOD'S SAKE, avoid having all the bad guys and good guys live or die for Goku. Have Cell consider Gohan as his nemesis from the beginning, have Buu react with true anger when he fights Vegeta, and not simply consider him a warm-up. Have the Ginew force exterminated by Vegeta, Gohan and Kuririn, and leave only Ginew for Goku. For God's sake, the show is "Dragon Ball", not "Goku and the rest".
"Destiny"... people claim by force what they desire, wreak havoc upon others in order to acquire it... and they call it "destiny".

Well technically it is about Goku and the rest :?

He is the main guy after all. He's your He-Man in..well He-Man

God I hate that show

Which is still "He-Man and the Masters of the Universe." Even Orko gets to take out a few bad guys now and then.

Duke didn't defeat everyone by himself on GI Joe; Optimus Prime wasn't the sole hero on Transformers, etc,e tc.
