Based on what you wrote, no, the orange bricks as already mentioned will not fulfill your desires.

What I did was buy Dragon Boxes 5, 6, 7 and not minding Kai- I bought the entire collection- even the Kai sets have much better quality than the Orange Bricks.

That's only for the 'Dragonball Z' part of the series though. I have no idea for the rest.
It is in his character to be rude and a bit crass. He's a hick, with no formal education. That is Son Goku. That is who he is.

Superman in an orange Gi was the bastard son of FUNimation. Its not The real character, it is as false as Chatku.

That's the only logical explanation.

It's really noticeable during looping animation and when the camera pans.

Honestly, getting all of the Dragon Boxes isn't TOO Difficult at this point.

Using the links I provided plus eBay, you can get DBoxes 1,3,4,5, and 7 all for normal price, and 6 is getting higher up there but it's not ridiculously expensive at this point (The lowest I've seen it is only about $20 over MSRP)

Your only issue would be DBox 2. Finding it for a reasonable price would be difficult but not impossible...

Honestly, if quality is a big deal to you, you will HATE the Orange Bricks. They are cropped so you're losing roughly 20% of the picture, they used an automatic cleanup system called DVNR that destroyed the image quality in a lot of areas, especially in the Season 1 and moreso the Season 2 Boxed set.

If quality is an issue to her and there's a chance you can get the DBoxes, even if they'll cost you a little more money, you should take it I think.

I'm not sure I'd go so far as to consider them a beautiful product.. :? Best release? I'd say the Dragon Dragon Boxes still win.
They are better than the over-priced, out of sync, crazy to find DragonBoxes. My opinion is better than yours, this is the internet! Winz! lol

As you are the same way I am about quality of Dragon Ball Z, I think is best release for you would be the Japanese Dragon Boxes (if you want cool extras) or the Japanese DVD Singles, Dragon Box 1 (US) has been going pretty cheap on Ebay lately.

Take this comparison for example.

As you can see the Orange Turds-- oops, Orange Bricks look terrible in comparison to the Dragon Box edition. Although if money's tight hold on, FUNimation might announce a new DBZ release with better quality than OBs.

The sound effects (at least; don't remember if the voices are, too) are all about a frame or so out-of-sync. Pretty sure this was just due to the natural aging of the materials. It's there, though, and it's very noticeable if you get in there with the footage and start trying to edit things :).

A casual viewer, especially on modern HDTVs where you have things going through non-analog cables all getting processed and delayed anyway, will probably never be conditioned to notice it.

Check the product's condition, seller's feedback (positive/feedback) and if any additional enquiries send to him/her.

I've had some trouble with eBay sellers (2, actually) not too long ago but it got sorted after opening a case on PayPal for refunds.

You'll need 5, 6 and 7.

6 starts at roughly the early beginning of the Budokai.

5 contains the majority of the Cell Games, the Afterlife Budokai and Great Saiyaman storylines.

I would say go for the Dragon Boxes, even though they will be expensive (especially the 2nd one). As others have said, you will HATE the Orange Bricks if you want good quality.

Dragon Box 7 - $31
Dragon Box 6 - $35
Dragon Box 5 - $31

Amazon.com - http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss_ ... Caps%2C298

Prices are actually reasonably cheap, so whoever wants them should get them while they're still at this price.

Yeah, looks like they're going on Amazon for not so expensive either.

Also, as I posted before DBox 1 is here for $26 and DBox 4 is here for $29.

Between those two links and Amazon, you can get all but 2 for a reasonable price. 2... is going to be hard to track down, for some reason they printed less of those... but it's doable, you just might have to pay a little more for them.

This way, you get best quality Dragon Ball Z is available completely, as in every episode uncut.

Also, I've watched my DBoxes a fair bit and I don't remember there ever being sync issues with the audio track... you mean sync as in "Nozawa's voice starts before Son's mouth opens" kinda thing?...

The orange bricks look better than the dragon boxes, in my opinion.

Sure, several seconds are blurred quite a bit, but come on, it's only several seconds out of many, many hours.

Sure, it's cropped, but I don't hear many people outraging about the cropping of the dragon box movies.

The orange brick's picture quality is superior, in my opinion. Their picture is clearer, they're more vibrant, even their colors seem superior most of the time. Don't believe me? Well then, go to the nearest window and take a gander outside. Is the sky blue or is it green? Better yet, I'll just tell you the answer: the sky is blue.

Please consult with an eye doctor.

It's not just a "few seconds" of blurring. The entire footage was blurred, resulting in lots of fine (and even not so fine) details are smudged away. The colors are way worse as well. In season one, they're really washed out and darks are crushed. Season two has ridiculously overbrightened footage, resulting in everyone's skintones literally being crushed white. Seasons 6-9 are way oversaturated and have lots of crushed dark detail.

You must be on some crazy crack:

And those aren't even the r2 Dragon Boxes, which are noticeably sharper. The US ones are a bit softer and have what looks to be very very slight edge enhancement to compensate.

If you prefer the orange bricks' footage "because the sky's blue", then that's your opinion, but if you claim falsehoods like "Their picture is clearer" then I'll factually prove otherwise.

Also, I'm not fond of the cropping done to the movies, but I accept it because they were created with cropping in mind. The series wasn't.

Something that bothers me about the orange brick's colors: the second season is REALLY white.

Anyways, about the images you posted, the Vegeta orange brick looks better.

Also, we must have a different definition of "clear". When I think of clear, I think of "no fuzz" in the image. Look at some dbox images, the dragon boxes have fuzz. Do you see it? What, exactly, is your definition of clear? Now, attempt to factually prove that the dboxes have less fuzz.

Seasons 4-9 look very good, in my opinion. Better than any other release that I have seen. Seasons 1-3 look good as well, but sometimes they are iffy.
