Depending on the pcb boards of your blu-ray player, you can get accurate color. I am using the Sherwood Region Free Blu Ray player (craptastic) but plays everything I throw at it, and has great color depth.

To be perfectly honest, I couldn't care less about the fans a re-issue might alienate because if all they're concerned about is being able to scalp the people who were either unaware of the Dragon Boxes or couldn't afford them at the time, they're just leeches and deserve to have their greed backfire on them.

For how long has Dragon Box 2 been available at this awesome price on amazon.ca? I hope it hasn't been much time, because I have ordered one today.

Well DBZimran posted the link here on Friday, but I'm not sure how long its been at this price. I was initially very excited, but I'm not getting my hopes too high as I expect to be dissapointed. I live in hope though...

My set-up is the same, well, a PS3 (Sony Blu-ray Player) and an LG FullHD HDTV. Watching DVDs upscaled on it looks great but never had the chance to try the Dragon Boxes because they're R1-locked.

I ordered mine on the 26 April 2013 (Friday) but only god knows how long it's been like this, there's probably plenty of people who've already purchased it too and hope to get their Dragon Box 2.

Yeah, depending on how many people already bought this Dragon Box 2, there may not be more to those who bought it late, if the stock is truly limited. So the latter ones won't be able to complete their orders/get it shipped. Hence my question...

One can only hope through. :D

By Monday the 29th April they should get all under control, i.e, cancel order of late buyers and dispatch it for those who came early.

In case I'm not one of the lucky ones I hope that it goes towards one who'll keep it instead of re-sell (which I'd do).

Actually, I am pretty sure the shipping estimation is said to be 2 to 4 weeks, so maybe we will have to wait a bit to see who will get their orders shipped or not. Althought, I didn't know that, since I have never ordered anything thru Amazon Canada, that you could cancel the order even one day after you've done it. Since as of this moment I am even able to change my payment method, I probably haven't even be charged yet. :)

It's gonna be torture waiting, as I am keeping mine, not selling it. I said the other day, it would be almost impossible for me to get Box 2, so this is my one shot I guess. I just hope they've managed to get hold of a lot of stock.

Also, off-topic, have some of the Vizbigs seriously gone out of print as well? Z Volumes 4 and 5 have gone to £120. Dunno if this is only in England... It seems no DB products, apart from the orange bricks (yay... ) stay around very long.

That seems to happen every so often. They'll probably print more, and then it'll go back down. The prices in the US aren't exactly any better.

Wait, so thanks to Amazon.ca, does that mean the OP of this thread was able to get every single US DBox? (at least on order)

It'd be awesome if true, I love it when fans are able to get their hands on this wonderful but limited release. I'm just glad I preordered them all. *Hugs her Dragon Boxes*

Amazon.ca is working hard to get all orders through (could take even more than 4 weeks) although there's the possibility that some orders could be cancelled. They won't charge until it's actually shipped.

Back to eBay, a Dragon Box 2 in Used - Like New condition is currently going for $295.

Check this out: This is for the 6disc set volume 2 dragon box. Discs only

The auction's on for $182 right now and it's only the discs, no box/book/disc holder. :?

Crazy price for just the discs. I will wait for a lot longer than 4 weeks if I get it for this price. Please, please, please, please, please, please...

I don't know if this was answered yet, but i'll answer it anyways.
Get the Dragon Boxes.
Sadly the Bluray sets were canceled, I would have told you to get the Bluray sets if they weren't canceled, as they seem to be the superior "difinitive" choice.

Why cancel the bluray sets FUNi...why...

Because the remastering process was too expensive.

Also, not cancelled, just on hiatus until they can find a more cheaper method that isn't the abomination that produced the Orange Bricks.

Well, they're pending since 2011 and we're in 2013 already so how is it not cancelled?

Toei Animation revived Dragon Ball Kai (Majin Buu arc) for the international market, for whatever reason, but this isn't Toei Animation, it's FUNimation.

Funimation bought the license to Hellsing Ultimate in 2010 and didn't release any OVA's until November 2012.

That was because it took that long for Geneon to send over the raw materials.

I don't think it was cancelled (officialy, at least), I just think that no one is expecting it to continue anytime soon, given the long gap. :)
