or maybe because Goten isn't young enough (Kid Goku and Gohan are younger than him, right?) i only find Gohan to be cute in the Saiyan saga, in the Frieza saga he's just .. ok. i don't like that Bowl haircut :wtf:

Gohan was younger. Goku was a few years older than Goten in his first appearance.

Well at the 21st Tenkaichi Budokai Goku says he is 12, so he is around that age at the start of the series, making him older than Goten. Gohan is younger at the start of Z though, I think he is 4? (Correct me if I'm wrong).

I say that Gohan telling his age by counting it with four fingers beats anything cute Goten and Goku ever did and will forever.

There's some great answers in here, but I'm going to go with Goten as a kid. He just has too many cute moments in the Buu arc and the movies.

So, here's the thing. I could write pages that explain my perceived logic of "cute", but the abridged version is composed of several key factors.

1. Trunks is a mischievous brat that helps exemplify Goten's adorable qualities as his opposite.

2. Goten has two basic modes. One is to be a Super Saiyan or Gotenks, while the rest is to be played for his "cutesy" factor. It is his function in the story to say and do things that invoke cuteness and basically make you want to coddle him in one way or the other, moreso than any other character. Even his voice is designed to reflect that (and that's regardless of which version you're watching). He's seven years old, so his inflections and emotions are exaggerated.

3. Long sleeves. Yeah, when you're short stuff and your sleeves are almost longer than your arms, it does something.

4. The strong-as-fuck-but-wouldn't-hurt-a-fly effect.

5. Abundant moments of hyper-cuteness like pictured in my avatar.

Either Puar, Mr.Buu, or Kid Buu. I don't know why, but the latter's stomach just looks so pokeable.

There are many cute characters in the Dragon Ball franchise, but my personal favourites are Chiaotzu, Puar and Dr. Briefs' cat.

Too bad, all are already mentioned on this list.
