That's exactly the reason why I think the bleeps work. When characters or shows that are not generally predisposed to swearing suddenly <bleep> the <bleeping> <bleep> in a conversation it makes the bit that much funnier. Especially since it's really only Vegeta, Bulma, and some of the bad guys who have potty mouths. In fact, I didn't even notice the last fuck wasn't bleeped until someone mentioned it.

So I gotta wonder, is Yamcha caught cheating on Bulma just swept under the rug? Or maybe that's why the universe has it out for Yamcha...? Considering that old Kaioshin wanted to feel up Bulma, that makes a frightening amount of sense.

Son Wukong is also name of monkey king from Journey to the West, awesome episode, but, while both Krillin and Yamucha are considered to be losers, i think character that is most unlucky, is Gohan, not only he is socially akward, he`s been kidnapped by green alien, who keeped beating him up, make him afraid of dodge word, and his father keep ignoring him, oh well, in Cell Saga, Dende is coming back to Gohan :P

I know right, I facepalmed so hard when a YouTube comment thought that was a reference to the LoL champion.

Personally, I feel like bleeping it makes it seem worse than it actually is, which in turn makes it funnier somehow. :D

I like intentional censorship in comedy, too. It kind of adds to the humor by leaving things up to the reader or viewer's own imagination.

The bleeps annoy me, always have. We still know what they're saying so I don't see it as being less vulgar.

Also, about the line with Goku wanting to give everybody a chance... I missed the Gohan/Gotenks foreshadowing and thought that was instead a joke about certain fans being mad at Goku for not giving the less powerful characters a chance.

Oh I dunno, maybe it's true but that thought was just the first that popped into my head after all the Goku is an irresponsible idiot threads.

Nah, after Goku saying "no promises" I do believe it was what everyone else thought. I was just saying what my first impression was.

Yeah, exactly. The fact you DO NOT have to censor on youtube makes it even funnier. It makes it seem like they're having a complete spaz out and it's hilarious.

These guys get it. That's why Jeice's unintentional censorship of Vegeta's complete freakout back on Namek was funnier than just hearing him yell fuck fuckity fuck fuck fuckity for a minute.

Here's a good example of how censorship makes something funnier:

LISTEN TO THE WHOLE THING IF YOU HAVEN'T BEFORE. DON'T SKIP.

The guy's freakout at the end puts me into tears, but you have to listen to his buildup.

So I found this YTP King of the Hill video... and I found a little something they did for the intro...

 Another great episode as expected, was happy to see this was out when I came back from two days without internet.

For me, my favorite parts were easily -

- 'Your hair is yellow!' '...So is yours.' 'IT IS?!'
- Muffin button having saved the day.
- '*singing* I'm on the highway to HFIL.'
- 'Look at my nipples!' 'AHH! My nipples!'
- Goku and Piccolo's moment together about lying to Chi Chi.
- Bulma and Vegeta's hate-sex at the end.

Not sure if this has been answered before since I haven't read this whole thread, but why even bother with the censorship at all? This is the Internet, not some TV network that has standards & practices. Why not just use the words in their full glory without covering them up with annoying beeps? Either embrace them or don't use them at all, I say, don't just go halfway (and now I'm curious if any uncensored versions are available for viewing anywhere...)

Hilarious episode, by the way. As an ardent Vegeta/Bulma fangirl, I'm think that's pretty close to how Trunks' conception ended up happening :D
Actually, the reason we censor Fuck is because we just feel like it's a little too... vulgar for the show.

I know that might seem odd, but the fact is? DragonBall is sort of a kids show and while we do like to darken it up and add a lot of adult humor, we don't want to go overboard. Unlike with Hellsing, which is a very, very adult show, where anything goes!
But if 'fuck' is too vulgar for the show you want to create, then why use it at all? If someone hears 'f*bleep*k', they know that the word 'fuck' is being used; the intent of the word is still there, it's just that part of the sound of it is obscured. I don't see how covering up part of a syllable is softening the fact that someone's still saying "FUCK YOU!"

Especially when paired with the fact an uncensored 'fuck' is used at the end, the self-censorship doesn't make sense to me. But it seems there are many on this thread who prefer it with the bleeps (yeah, I get it when it's used for comedic effect like Vegeta's censored non-swearing rant, but when it's just censorship? Not so much). I don't get it, but it's your choice to make, of course. I just hope that someday you'll release the "ULTIMATE UNCUT ZOMG totally uncensored with all the swearz!!1!1one" edition for those of us who don't mind hearing some goddamn swearing :D

Absolutely AMAZING episode...just two minor nitpicks.

1) Is it me, or is Goku's silly voice and characterization starting to sharply contrast his appearance? It fit a little more when Goku was drawn more like his DB self in the beginning, but now that he's getting all muscular and getting sharper facial features...I dunno. Not sure there's much you can do there, but oh well.

2) Personally I thought the Yamcha suicide was too dark. I mean you say that the F-word is too vulgar for DBZ, but that...honestly I found that far more disturbing than any F-bomb ever could be (not that I don't like the censoring).

But the last few moments were pure GENIUS  !!

Yeah, the Yamcha suicide scene is like splicing some of Spec Ops: The Line into the middle of Rambo.

Y'know, there are other things to compare stuff to than Spec Ops. :P You're also assuming the original First Blood film was just a pulpy action movie. But I digress...

Well, it's not like it's much more different than how it goes in the Japanese version.

Even though I saw it coming, I found it hysterical, but then again, I've always been a fan of gallows humor.

Hey KaiserNeko, don't you guys have scripts of the already done episodes? I've been meaning to create some subtitles for DBA in my language and in english. If all the lines of dialog were already in text it would be much easier.
