I don't think you should be worried. Nobody cares how young or old you are. It just goes to show how the series reaches out to all kinds of people - however old they are, whatever country they're from and whatever gender they are, everyone is accepted in the Dragonball community. That's the legacy of the series and why it is such an important part of so many people's lives.
