Me too, because Ebay *will* take up to 6 months to get your money back and fight you every step of the way.

I don't know, I'm pretty experianced with eBay. Personally I believe this is legit. Yeah made a few mistakes like the Dragon Radar instead of the Scouters, but if he's familiar with previous Dragon Boxes it could have just been a simple brain fart and he typed the wrong thing. I just wish I had seen this on there because I definite'ly would have put a bid in on this.

It's a good job you didn't. I am currently fuming with rage.

I did a search on "don frazier" the other day, just to be sure, no results. I just tried his other name, "Dante Frazier" today, to be 110% sure and you get this:

http://www.dvdtalk.com/forum/printthread.php?t=214797

I have rang paypal, but its too late to cancel the transaction. I now have to wait and see if he coughs up the goods, and that they're legitimate, and if not, we take it from there..

I just emailed him too, and you can imagine, I wasn't too kind. I also asked if they're stolen/legitimate, I've asked for photos inside the box, of absolutely everything, and told him I'd pursue legal action if I am messed around and not given what I paid for.

Did you pay via Bank or Credit Card on paypal?

If it's a bank, call and have them issue a stop payment. If it's a credit card, dispute the transaction. It's still fairly early, so both should be available for you.

If you need help, let me know. I've done this before.

Yeesh. Guess I'm not as smart as I thought I am :? . Real sorry to hear this happened to you. If his address is real, then someone in Chicago should go beat this guy up and then steal all of HIS money. Eye for an eye, I say.

I already rang paypal, and the money has been transacted, so it's too late. They can't "take back" the money once its gone through. She told me to wait and see if he delivers the goods, and if not, or if they're not as described, THEN they have a basis on which to pursue things.

I've used Paypal since it's inception. Thing is, Paypal is just a service. It takes money from a bank account, like a check, and transfers over the process of several days. In that case, you could call your bank and have them block the transfer (known as a 'Stop Payment').

The other way to use Paypal is with a credit card. In this case, you would call the actual credit card company and dispute the charge.

Paypal couldn't find their dick with two hands, go direct to where the funds came from. Seriously. Unless you don't want your money back for 6 months or more.

Wow. Then your bank is the worst bank I've ever dealt with in my life. And I've dealt with several.

I've never heard of a bank sending you elsewhere when you want to issue a stop payment.

I'm pretty fed up about all of this. I'm more disappointed that I won't be getting this Dragonbox anymore (unless i'm really lucky).

I know the feeling, sort of... I had a problem with some bootlegs last summer (Sailor Moon S and Super S) that weren't labeled as bootleg on Amazon, and it took an extra month or so to get a refund and my R1s... Just hope you get your money back. I know it sucks, but there's always the singles when they're eventually released.

PICTURES FOR EVERYONE!!!

When you put in the disc it will ask you to choose a movie...

(Picture From Disc One)

When you choose a movie it will play a little animation of either Goku or Goku and Vegeta (depending on wich disc you put in).

(Picture From Disc Eight)

Then it'll bring you to the menu for that movie.

The Extras are usually trailers, posters and TV spots.

Also the print is positioned in exactly the same place as Mike's, and the box appears to be exactly the same.

Also I know whats coming next now, "I don't like the name Uranus DVD's", but he seems to be selling all his anime DVDs but not in suspiciously large amounts either, so I guess it makes sense. But here:

Oh crap. Dude, I think you might be getting ripped. He's selling Sailor Moon DVDs with the exact same pictures I saw from the dude that almost conned me that was selling the exact same set. o__o; Hell, infact, it's the same location and the very same exact items he had on auction before with the very same exact detailed description. x_x;

As much as I feel bad for anyone getting ripped off on eBay, especially when searching for legit DB merch, I'd greatly prefer to keep it out of this thread. Thanks!

Word. I'm all about discussing the DragonBox. Let me just reinitiate the conversation with a quick question. For those of you that have purchased the Box(lucky), has it not met, reached, or exceeded your expectations?

First, I'll pose you a question: Where is the luck involved in deciding to spend $350.00, if you have it available?

Anyway, from my point of view, it has exceeded my expectations for the release, and in owning it, I've also learned something new; which is how to make copies of DVDs, to keep the original ones as pristine as possible.

Honestly, I got more than I expected out of owning this, and far and away happier with this purchase, than some purchases I've made over the years.

has it not met, reached, or exceeded your expectations?
Well, quick answer is that yes, it's exceeded my ecpectations.

Long Answer...

Pros: When you see those pictures on the internet you really can't get the full impact of how awsome the picture is. The first obvious thing you will see (when looking at pictures on the internet) is the color difference, FUNimations disc and Toei's disc have two totally different colors in these movie. Some people like FUNimations discs with the bright colors and dark lines, I was one of those people. Even after I seen the screen shots I thought FUNimations always looked better. You have to see these movies in action the screen shots dont do them justice. Now, I can't belive I favored the FUNimation prints over this. The trailers bring back so many memories of those fan-subs though. They usually had these trailers in the begining of the movie (on those fan-subs that is) so I remeber a lot of them and seeing them again with this quality is awsome.
Also I think I remeber someone here saying the audio was bad? The audio was awsome, I never heard the Japanese track so well before. The crash's and boom's all had great bass to them (sorry its the best way I can discribe it).

Cons: The only thing Iam (kinda) disapointed about was how bootleg the menu's look. They could have done them way way better, its not bad but you notice these things when you paid like 300 - 400$ for them. Also I was hoping for some crazy ass off the wall extra's like when the Dragonbox for Dragonball was released they got those two movies about Goku being a firefighter and another one about Goku and the police (not sure about the details but thats it in a nutshell). So thats that.

I hope this isn't too much to ask for, but would someone put up an audio sample/comparison to Funimation discs of some particular part?

Because..Although I never bought the Dragon Boxes (which I'm upset about now), there may be an oppurtunity to buy my favorite movies separately, like they have been doing with the series. And since I've been impressed by the screenshots (especially of the ones from Movie 13, which surpasses my fansub by millions of miles), I was hoping that the audio would be just as pristine.

That way, I'd buy some of these (whether it be from the series or the movies), and watch these on my PC, since I don't have a region free player anywhere.

Oh, and Tanooki, would there any chance that you can get bigger screenshots?

Thanks, and good job on the feature so far EX.

Exceeded. Back when the other sets were released, I wasn't about to spend several hundred dollars a piece on them. Now I wish I had.

Thanks for posting those screens Tanooki Kuribo. They look perfect. I wish I had the money for that Dragon Box.
