Yeah, I'm in the Diamao camp. The face and color of his dougi give it away.

Super HD for Youtube, full 1080.
Seems the SEC are a Super Saiyan God Goku card that can boss summon Birus? The other is almost certainly Piccolo Daimao...so next set we're getting Dragon Ball characters, or perhaps just select ones that can fly, like Daimao and his kids? Or maybe they are an exception for the next set since Kami, and indirectly Piccolo Daimao, share ties with Garlic Junior (who will roll over into GM9, as is tradition)?

The Galaxy Missions are proving to be full of more surprises than I thought...but I still want my fucking Super Saiyan Pan at the very least.

The second DBZ film, 2x DBGT sagas, 100 years later... if they hadn't added DB characters, the game would have ended around GM12 or GM15 (with the Shadow Dragons covering several sets).

That would be awesome, if they bring Daimao and the kids (plus Kami maybe), they could have a full out war between the two demon clans, like the Saiyan/Freeza war they just had.

'kay, so apparently Goku, Beat and Tsumuri arrive at Garlic Junior's castle and fight him and his minions, but then a lot of the other currently available, main movie villains show up and join in the brawl. We see Garlic Junior, Coola in his true form, LSS Broli, Super 13, Bojack, Tullece, giant Slug and even Birus. Ironically, Bojack is in his base form, which isn't playable in the game. =P

That was an awesome transformation sequence for Garlic! And I love the fact that it almost seems like Garlic, the weakest villain of the bunch, is the one leading them.

Yet...
After the continuous curved balls they keep throwing at us, like the stunt they pulled with Zarbon, I take nothing for granted in this series.

Sorry bro, completely missed your post. Well, they can cover a few more things if they wish. I can see the Evil Dragons lasting for at least three sets, then you also have the 2008 special, which I can see them not covering due to licensing, which will be a damned shame. Then there's also the Neko Majin if they want to be creative, they do have the model for Kuriza anyway.

Again, depending on creativity, they can go back to the early portion of GT and bring Gel, Shila and Redict to the fray, they have gone back and forth with past sets and are doing that now with the movies anyway. They can also cover the Annoyo Tenkaichi, plenty of characters to choose from there, and the war between the Kaioshins and Buu since all Kaioshins are shown to be competent fighters anyway.

Lastly they can create alternate takes on arcs to cover other models in their vault. Imagine an alternative Majin Buu arc where all the models from Budokai 2 become relevant, Majin Buu absorptions, Yamhan, Freeza and Cell possessed by Babidi, maybe even throw Piccolo there too, maybe new Majin Buu absorptions. They can go crazy with that, it's nothing they haven't done before.

I didn't know base Bojack was absent so far. Does Gokua have both his forms?

Gokua does not have his transformed state and Bojack does not have his base. Also Broli does not has his base. Janenba, Hildegarn and Lood don't have base form either.
I very much doubt that Garlic's henchmen will have transformed states.

That Kuririn/#18 double team is awesome!
Nikki, Sansho and Ginger never looked so amazing dude! Especially Nikki's sly smile, you know that dude is enjoying murdering whoever he's murdering.

Yeah, I love the 18/Kuririn combo, especially the second.

How do the movie villain cards work, the ones that will have a hero on the card with them and their henchmen behind them?

Just more creative art, they still just function the same as the regular cards. The little symbol in the upper right is usually an indicator of a special effect (the ones from when Broli were first added gave a boost to the cards with the symbol when fighting the "Legendary" Super Saiyan), though I'm not exactly sure what this one does.

Oh lawd, I am ALL for this game throwing power levels to the curve. Putting everyone on a more level playing field lets you have more fun with you character designs, and I like that Heroes has been doing that. I also liked how they sort of handwaved Birus' being there, as his trailer shot gives me a "I'm just here for the chaos" vibe.

To be fair, he is immortal. Not even Birus can destroy him...which I imagine would piss him off to no end. =P

Anyway, here is the download link for all the Heroes card, GM8 now included (as well as all the regular Carddass cards just because I've taken to collecting them for the art as well): https://www.dropbox.com/s/bysudrivrg9nyo0/Carddass.rar

^ Thanks! Do you happen to have the the cards from other games like Dragon Battlers?
James Teal (Animerica 1996) wrote:When you think about it, there are a number of similarities between the Chinese-inspired Son Goku and that most American of superhero icons, Superman. Both are aliens sent to Earth shortly after birth to escape the destruction of their homeworlds; both possess super-strength, flight, super-speed, heightened senses and the ability to cast energy blasts. But the crucial difference between them lies not only in how they view the world, but in how the world views them.

Superman is, and always has been, a symbol for truth, justice, and upstanding moral fortitude–a role model and leader as much as a fighter. The more down-to-earth Goku has no illusions about being responsible for maintaining social order, or for setting some kind of moral example for the entire world. Goku is simply a martial artist who’s devoted his life toward perfecting his fighting skills and other abilities. Though never shy about risking his life to save either one person or the entire world, he just doesn’t believe that the balance of the world rests in any way on his shoulders, and he has no need to shape any part of it in his image. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Politics, society, law and order don’t have much bearing on his life, but he’s a man who knows right from wrong.

I don't know why are they making Super #13 have a brain in the recent games since BT2.

He never talked, except for "Son Gokuuu", and was just a robot with the sole target of killing Goku. On all these trailers and new games, he's like a blue Broly. It just doesn't fit for him to stay in place along with the other villains.

Watching the film again, I'm not seeing anything really out of character here. It's not like he rampages all over the place uncontrollably like you imply he would. Heck, he's not even the one who initiates half the fights in his film; most instances have him staying still and the heroes are the ones to charge him. He might have become a bit more silent after absorbing 14 and 15's parts, but I don't think he became mindless or anything to the point where he couldn't follow along with the other villains or speak if he really wanted.

ANYWAY, moving on to the real point of my post. The new V-Jump issue has a Super Saiyan Godku card, and it has two things to note. One, God is a transformation from level 3 for the card, and two, he has a special Poll replacement part: the V-Jump dragon mascot.

Also curious to note, though it may mean absolutely nothing, this recent artwork of the avatar characters has thrown lightning onto their Super Saiyan forms for no apparent reason...could we perhaps be seeing a lead up to Super Saiyan 2 being made available to them? Maybe, maybe not. Just something to ponder over.
